Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal Introduce
For homeowners in Shepherdsville and the wider Central Kentucky area, particularly those with historic or architecturally unique properties, the needs of a roofing project can be specialized. Standard roofing contractors may be well-suited for traditional shingle roofs, but when it comes to intricate details like custom box gutters, copper flashing, or slate roofing, a different level of expertise is required. This is where a company like Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal comes into play. They are a local business that has carved out a niche for itself by focusing on the detailed and often historic aspects of roofing and exterior sheet metal work. This article will provide a clear, factual overview of Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal, from their location and the specific services they offer to their unique features, all from the perspective of a local user in Kentucky looking for a specialist contractor. We'll explore what makes them a distinct option in the local market and why they might be the right choice for certain types of projects.
The company's focus is on providing a high level of craftsmanship for projects that require a more skilled touch than a standard roofing job. This is particularly relevant for residents in historic neighborhoods in places like Old Louisville, where preserving the original character and function of a home is a top priority. Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal understands the importance of using proper techniques and materials to ensure the longevity of historic structures. They are known for their expertise in light carpentry, masonry, and exterior trim work, all of which are essential skills for a comprehensive restoration. Their commitment to these specialized services positions them as a valuable resource for architects, preservationists, and homeowners who are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of their older properties. While their services may not be the cheapest option, their focus on quality and expertise in these niche areas is what sets them apart. They are a business that believes in doing the job right, even if it takes more time and specialized skill, and they are upfront about this approach.
Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal's business model appears to prioritize large-scale, intricate projects, which can sometimes impact their availability for smaller, more immediate repairs. This is an important distinction for local homeowners to be aware of. While their work on major jobs, such as historic gutter box restoration, is often praised for its high quality and attention to detail, their capacity for smaller tasks may be more limited. They seem to operate with a focus on long-term project planning and delivery, which requires patience from the client. However, their commitment to communication, as evidenced by positive feedback from clients who appreciate being kept informed throughout a lengthy process, is a significant part of their professional approach. They aim to manage expectations from the outset, providing a realistic timeline for their specialized work. For a homeowner in Kentucky with a unique or historic home, finding a contractor who possesses this level of specific skill can be a game-changer, and Balcor has positioned itself to fill that need.
Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal is located at 633 Deatsville Rd, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, USA. This local presence is important for a service that requires a high degree of trust and communication. Having a contractor who is physically located within the region they serve provides a sense of security and accountability. Their accessibility is a key factor for homeowners and architects who want to partner with a company that is an established part of the local business landscape and is dedicated to serving the community.

Balcor Architectural Sheet Metal Reviews
Terrible, DO NOT USE. After a $7,500 job to fix roof and downspout, the downspout had broken after a few years at a seam and caused damage to our exterior AND interior walls while we were away - potentially creating mold. It will required new plaster, tuckpointing and painting to fix it. When we first called, they came right away (Matt, who was nice and seemed like he was going to fix it for us) and he said he would fix it that day or the next. Flash forward TWO WEEKS+ later and NO ONE HAS COME. Cliff finally called us back after many calls and said "we don't do small jobs, we have many big jobs and we wait until we get that money - that's how we get paid - then we fit in the small repairs when we can." He said he doesn't know when he can get out to fix it - he wouldn't even give us an idea of when that would be - a day, a week, a month. Completely rude on phone to my partner. Then he said Matt shouldn't have ever said he'll fix it and that he was on vacation and gone. We have this UNDER WARRANTY in writing. It clearly states "5 year warranty on all new items". The item that broke was new and is defined as such in the contract. Completely disrespectful, rude and now we have water damage. Looks like we will be forced to take legal action to get this resolved. They are in the wrong. Not a trustworthy business and terrible attitude. Go with someone else. I'm shocked they do business like this. Shameful.
Mar 15, 2019 · Meaghan ThomasWe own an old Victorian house in Old Louisville. I was given a referral by our architect that restoration of old gutter boxes is a specialized skill and that I should use Balcor. From the time I first signed the contract until the work was done was over a year due to them being backlogged and supply chain issues. They were very upfront with me on the timeline at contract signing. But in the end, the work was done at a very high level and Phil (I believe the company owner) was excellent at communicating to me as the project was being worked. Balcor is not the cheapest option but the quality of the work is excellent.
Dec 10, 2022 · Roger QuinnThese folks have worked on my roof and my clients’ roofs for decades. High-quality work all the way. Great service all the way. Never the cheapest. Maybe even more expensive than the rest, but I would go nowhere else. I will not let anyone else on my roof even to do work on other parts of it.
