Based on their name, Cherokee Roofing & Home Restoration, Corporation offers services typically associated with exterior property improvements. While details on the general features and highlights of Cherokee Roofing & Home Restoration, Corporation's workmanship or specific product lines are not readily available, significant feedback pertains to their business practices.
Concerns Regarding Solicitation Tactics and Ethical Practices: Multiple public reviews express severe disappointment and disturbance regarding the company's alleged solicitation tactics. Specifically, flyers with handwritten notes implying the company will "pay for the deductible" have been cited. These tactics are described as "unethical" and "blatantly illegal," constituting "insurance fraud." The reviews emphasize that such practices "involve unsuspecting homeowners in criminal activity," which can carry "serious consequences for both the homeowner and the insurer."
Impact on Trust in the Industry: The reviews highlight that this type of behavior erodes trust between homeowners and contractors, noting, "This kind of behavior is exactly why so many homeowners have a hard time trusting contractors in this industry."
Calls for Integrity and Legal Operation: The feedback strongly urges the company to "do better" and operate with integrity, asserting, "If you can’t compete fairly and legally, you shouldn’t be in this industry at all."
Reporting to Authorities: The reviewers state that photos of the flyers have been documented and will be submitted to relevant authorities, including the Ohio Department of Insurance, the National Insurance Crime Bureau, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for review. This indicates a serious concern from the community.
For any homeowner in Ohio, understanding these widely publicized concerns about alleged practices is a critical part of the decision-making process when evaluating contractors. While a business's name implies certain services, its operational ethics are equally important for consumer confidence and protection.

Cherokee Roofing & Home Restoration, Corporation Reviews
I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by the tactics Cherokee Roofing is using to solicit business in our neighborhood. The flyers being left on doors — with handwritten notes implying the company will “pay for the deductible” — are not only unethical, but blatantly illegal. This is insurance fraud, plain and simple, and by suggesting it, you’re involving unsuspecting homeowners in criminal activity. It’s alarming that a company would stoop to such shady practices instead of operating with integrity. Mark and the Cherokee team — you need to do better. This kind of behavior is exactly why so many homeowners have a hard time trusting contractors in this industry. You frame it as a way to “help people save money,” but what you’re actually doing is encouraging them to commit fraud, which can carry serious consequences for both the homeowner and the insurer. This is not how honest, reputable businesses operate. If you can’t compete fairly and legally, you shouldn’t be in this industry at all.Photos of your flyers have been documented and will be submitted to the Ohio Department of Insurance, the National Insurance Crime Bureau, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for review.Homeowners deserve better. Our communities deserve better. Do things the right way — or get out.

Apr 08, 2025 · Brandon WWe had a company out about a leak who sought to upsell us on a new roof, though this one appeared to be in decent condition. So, we got another opinion from Cherokee Roofing. Gary came out when it was raining and took pictures of the issues on the roof. Then he came back out and repaired the issues. Easy experience. We'll use Gary Burgess and Cherokee Roofing again.
