APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION Introduce
For homeowners and business owners across Florida, the roof plays a critical role in safeguarding their property against the state’s challenging climate. With its intense sun, heavy rainfall, and the ever-present threat of tropical storms and hurricanes, a durable and expertly installed roofing system is essential. When seeking a roofing contractor, locals often look for reliability, quality workmanship, and a company that understands the unique demands of the Florida environment. APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION is one such contractor operating in Florida, with a presence in Tampa and other locations across multiple states.
APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION, headquartered in Hoover, AL, is a large roofing company that provides a range of services including roof replacement, roof repair, and emergency roofing across several states, including Florida. They claim to be the 7th largest residential roofer in the nation and hold certifications like CertainTeed Select Shingle Master. Their services extend to residential, commercial, and multi-family properties, indicating a broad scope of work.
While their website highlights features like free roof inspections, a seamless process from assessment to completion, and the use of high-quality materials with hassle-free warranties, it's essential for potential customers to consider various perspectives. Public feedback on a company like APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION can be diverse, and it's important to look at all aspects when making an informed decision for a crucial home or business project.
One customer expressed significant frustration regarding unsolicited door-to-door sales tactics: "Had a sales consultant knock and then ring my doorbell - completely ignoring the signs that clearly state we do not condone or want ANY solicitations. 'But I' offering free roof inspections'. Why would I hire a company whose employees can't even read or worse respect our wishes. I will never do business with a company or service provider that goes D2D or disregards clearly posted signage." This highlights a concern about sales practices and respect for privacy.
Another review detailed a concerning experience involving elderly parents: "These people are crooks, approximately a month ago they showed up to my parent's house. Mind you both of my parents are elderly my mother is 94 and my Dad is 86 and diagnosed with dementia. They proceed to weave a tale of deceit that their roof which is less than 8 years old needed to be replaced. I had had another roofer check their roof. They assessed it to be fine. I contacted the company informing them to obey my parents clearly readable no solicitation sign. I also wrote a negative review of the on here. Somehow the review mysteriously disappeared. Two days ago their regional sales manager Shane Douglas had the audacity to leave his card in my parent's door jam! Mr. Douglas leave my parents alone!! Take your predatory practices elsewhere!" This review raises serious allegations of deceptive practices and aggressive sales tactics targeting vulnerable individuals.
Conversely, other online reviews for APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION (though some may be for different entities sharing a similar name or for different branches) describe positive experiences with communication, project management (mentioning names like Jamie and Antonio), efficient crews, and satisfactory results. This illustrates that customer experiences can vary significantly, emphasizing the need for individual research and caution.
APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION has a listed address at 6420 Benjamin Rd, Tampa, FL 33634, USA. This location positions them within the Tampa Bay area, potentially allowing them to serve residential and commercial clients in Hillsborough County and surrounding regions. It is important to note that APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION is a large company with multiple locations across several states, including numerous offices within Florida beyond Tampa, such as Jacksonville Beach, Orlando, Fort Myers, Daytona Beach, Clermont, Sarasota, Pensacola, and Leesburg. Their corporate office is located in Hoover, Alabama.
While a local Tampa address suggests accessibility for Tampa-based clients, their broader operational model means that specific project management and crew deployment might originate from various regional hubs. For Floridians, having a presence within the state indicates a familiarity with local building codes and the challenges posed by the Florida climate. However, potential clients should clarify which local team or branch will be handling their specific project and how local communication and service will be managed. Their widespread presence suggests a capacity to handle a high volume of work, but localized responsiveness may vary depending on the specific branch or sales team engaged.

However, it is crucial for potential customers to also consider the negative feedback provided, which highlights significant concerns:
- Aggressive Solicitation Practices: Multiple complaints describe unsolicited door-to-door sales and ignoring "No Solicitation" signs, which can be a significant deterrent for many homeowners.
- Allegations of Deceptive Practices: One review details serious accusations of attempting to convince elderly individuals with dementia that a relatively new roof needed replacement when another roofer deemed it fine. This is a severe concern for ethical business practices.
- Customer Service and Communication Concerns Post-Sale: While some reviews praise communication during the process, the negative feedback suggests potential issues with responsiveness or respectful engagement when a customer expresses disinterest or has a complaint.

For individuals and businesses in the Florida region, particularly the Tampa Bay area, considering APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION for their roofing needs requires a thorough and balanced perspective. On one hand, APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION is a large, established company with a broad service offering that includes residential, commercial, and multi-family roofing, covering installation, repair, and storm damage restoration. Their multiple Florida locations and national presence indicate substantial operational capacity and a familiarity with diverse roofing challenges, including those specific to Florida's harsh climate. They also highlight certifications and internal quality control measures, which can be appealing to clients seeking comprehensive solutions.
However, it is paramount for locals to also consider the very serious concerns raised in customer feedback. Allegations of aggressive, unsolicited sales tactics, particularly those targeting vulnerable populations, and reports of disrespecting "No Solicitation" signs, are significant red flags for many homeowners. While some customers have reported positive experiences, the severe nature of the negative feedback warrants considerable caution.
In Florida, where choosing a reliable and trustworthy roofing contractor is essential for protecting a significant investment, the emphasis on ethical practices and respectful customer engagement cannot be overstated. Locals should carefully research any contractor, check their licensing (CCC1331496 and CCC1332286 are listed for various Apex entities in Florida), scrutinize reviews from various sources, and ensure clear, written agreements that address all aspects of the project, including warranties and post-installation support. While APEX ROOFING & RESTORATION may offer extensive services, prospective clients in Florida should prioritize a contractor whose customer engagement practices align with their expectations for professionalism and respect.
