However, it is always advisable for customers to confirm the service area and travel policies of any contractor to ensure they can adequately serve their specific location within South Carolina.

These services typically include:

Based on the provided customer review, it is challenging to highlight positive features or consistent performance. However, analyzing the feedback can help identify aspects of their service that were mentioned, albeit in a critical context:
- Initial Agreement on Scope: The contractor initially agreed to leave the chimney, indicating some level of discussion and agreement with the homeowner regarding the project's aesthetic and structural considerations.
- Acknowledgement of Flashing Issue (Delayed): After initial attempts at repair, the contractor reportedly acknowledged the absence of proper flashing around the chimney, which is a critical component for preventing leaks.
- Attempted Repairs (Initial): The contractor did make some attempts to address the leaks, such as applying silicone and later tar tape, although these were not effective solutions according to the customer.
- Promise of Resolution (Unfulfilled): There was a reported commitment to a more permanent fix, specifically to "knock the chimney down for no cost," which unfortunately, according to the customer, was not fulfilled, leading to ongoing issues.
It's crucial to note that these "highlights" are derived from a highly negative customer experience and are presented here for informational purposes, reflecting what the customer observed in their interaction with the company. The customer's review emphasizes concerns about reliability, follow-through, and the effectiveness of the repairs provided. In evaluating Roberts Metal Roofing for locals in South Carolina, it is imperative to approach with caution, based on the provided customer feedback. While the specialization in metal roofing could be appealing due to its material benefits, the critical review presented raises significant concerns about the company's reliability, quality of work, and commitment to resolving issues post-installation. The customer's experience details ongoing leaks, unfulfilled promises regarding crucial flashing, and a lack of responsiveness, ultimately leading to damage to their home and official complaints with regulatory bodies.
For South Carolina residents, a suitable roofing contractor is one who not only performs the initial installation correctly but also stands by their work, promptly addresses any defects, and communicates effectively throughout the entire process, especially when issues arise. The provided review indicates that Roberts Metal Roofing, in this specific instance, fell short on these critical aspects. The customer's strong recommendation to "please please do not use him, as he is not reliable and does not do what he says he’s going to do" is a powerful deterrent for prospective clients.
Therefore, while Roberts Metal Roofing is indeed located in South Carolina, and might theoretically offer services relevant to locals, the documented negative experience suggests that prospective customers should exercise extreme due diligence. It would be advisable for any local considering this contractor to thoroughly investigate their current standing with the BBB and LLR, seek multiple references, and insist on comprehensive written contracts with clear warranties and dispute resolution clauses before engaging their services. The suitability of any business for locals ultimately rests on trust, quality, and accountability, and the presented information casts significant doubt on these fronts for Roberts Metal Roofing.

Roberts Metal Roofing Reviews
I really hate to make this post but I think it’s time to make the post.to all my friends and family that I referred Robert’s roofing to please disregard and do not use him.We got our roof replaced back in march, and everytime we get a down pour or even now a light rain our ceiling and around our chimney now leaks and pours in. Sometimes it can be in both spots or sometimes in one or the other. We asked him before fixing the roof what he thought about leaving the chimney and he agreed and said it made up the house. I brought him back out because of the chimney leaking and since we have been here we have never had an issue with our chimney. It leaks behind our wall and down the wall now. He put silicon around and said it should hold. I called him again, he said there is no flashing around the chimney. But told us the day they practically finished the roof that he was going to come back and put flashing around the chimney and never did. So when we started getting another leak after he came out and put silicon on it. I had to practically beg this man to come out and attempt to fix it. All he kept telling me was it’s never going to get fixed unless I knock the chimney down and it was going to cost me an additional $400 for him to fix it. After talking with him, he came out and put some type of tar tape around it and told me it should hold up. Flash ford a few weeks ago I made a couple calls some people made calls for us to help us out and he told us he was going to be out here to knock the chimney down for no cost. 2 weeks from when he told us that he can not come out here because he was in a bad wreck. Each week we reach out to find out what is going on and it is excuse after excuse after excuse. Now, I am currently sitting here watching my roof around my chimney poor in water and destroy my home even more, with him no where in site.I get things happen but this is not business and I have been too nice about it and I was not going to go this route. I also have pictures to show his work. And how much we paid.Just whatever you do please please do not use him, as he is not reliable and does not do what he says he’s going to do.Update: I currently have a whole other leak, that shouldn’t even be happening if the roof would’ve been done properly.I have contacted the BBB AND THE LLR AND FILED A COMPLAINT AND WILL GO FURTHER IF NEEDED TO AGAINST THE COMPANY.
