If I could give them more than five stars, I would. Tim from Affordable Roofing went above and beyond for me and I am a thousand times grateful. I inherited my mother’s house and right when we were wrapping up probate, a storm caused a branch to fall and punched a hole right in front of the gutters. Before I could change the insurance into my name, we had to get the damage fixed under my mom’s policy.When looking at the roof, Tim realized that the roof had been insured with multiple layers of shingles (above what code would allow) and that my decking was also no longer up to code. He could not replace part of my roof without removing all the previous layers of shingles on the whole roof. I needed a whole new roof. My mother’s policy included code upgrade so he was sure we could get the insurance to replace the roof as he could not repair it without bringing it up to code.The original adjuster from State Farm tried to deny my claim. It was almost insulting how little they were going to pay. Two different adjusters from State Farm tried to lowball me. Tim sent email after email highlighting the codes that State Farm was breaking. After they tried to ghost us, he helped me submit a complaint to the state and when they still tried to ignore us, he helped me contact the state again until we got a new adjuster who ended up approving a whole new roof and inside repairs.This process started in September 2023 and now in July 2024, we have officially wrapped up interior work. It took until late February 2024 to get insurance to approve the claim and start on the roof. It was worth the wait. I highly recommend trusting them and not buckling to the bad faith tactics from the insurance company through the process.Once it was started, the team got the roof done quickly and it looks great. Honestly, the main reason we are just wrapping up the interior is that they worked around MY schedule as I was out of town and had a lot of projects at work during this time.Thanks to Tim and Affordable Roofing’s dogged determination and knowledge, I have a new 30 year roof and a newly painted living room, laundry room, and hallway. Without them fighting for me, I don’t know what I would have done as I could not change the policy into my own name as insurance would have denied to insure me without a new roof.I have never been more happy with a company! Do yourself a favor, hire them when you need to file a claim and listen to their expertise in navigating the insurance industry! Actually, just hire them because not only do they fight for you, they do excellent work. I’ve included so before and after pictures.
