Arrow Roofing and Siding Introduce
For homeowners and business owners in Ohio, navigating the world of home exterior contractors can be a complex and often overwhelming process. From sudden storm damage to planned renovations, the need for a reliable and professional company is paramount. You are looking for a partner who not only provides quality workmanship but also offers excellent customer service, clear communication, and a fair price. In the Columbus area, one of the local businesses you may encounter is Arrow Roofing and Siding. This company's profile, like many in the service industry, presents a range of customer experiences, highlighting the importance of thorough research before making a final decision.
The feedback for Arrow Roofing and Siding offers a mix of perspectives, which is valuable for any local user seeking an objective overview. On one hand, a customer had a "disaster" of an experience, citing rude workers, damaged property, and a poor cleanup job that led to a flat tire. The review also pointed to a significant issue that arose years later, where improperly installed flashing led to ruined soffits. This review serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the critical need for a contractor to be meticulous in their work and responsible for the long-term integrity of their installations. It suggests that while a job may look complete initially, underlying issues can surface much later.
On the other hand, a completely different experience is shared by another customer who was "very happy" with their decision. This individual received "excellent pricing," "fast service," and "good communication." They praised the company's representative, Marc, for being quick to quote and respond, and the crew, led by Abner, for doing "excellent work" and a "good job cleaning up." This customer, who had compared seven different bids, found Arrow Roofing to be the most affordable option for a full roof replacement, while others had only offered partial repairs. This stark contrast in experiences highlights the variability that can exist within a single company and the importance of weighing all available information. This article aims to present a factual overview of Arrow Roofing and Siding to help potential customers in the Ohio region make an informed decision based on the available public data.
Arrow Roofing and Siding is located at 118 Norton Rd, Columbus, OH 43228, USA. This location in the Columbus metropolitan area is a key factor in their ability to serve the local community. A local presence is crucial for contractors, as it allows for swift response times, particularly in emergency situations. For Ohio residents, who are all too familiar with sudden and severe weather, having a contractor nearby who can quickly address a leaking roof or damaged siding is a significant benefit.
Their location on Norton Road places them within a reasonable distance of a large portion of the Columbus area, making their services accessible to many residents. This local connection also suggests a familiarity with the specific building codes and requirements of the Columbus region. As a local business, they are more likely to understand the types of materials and installation methods that perform best in the Ohio climate. However, as the negative review suggests, a local presence does not automatically guarantee quality. A customer’s positive experience with communication and a professional crew, however, points to the potential for a very different outcome. The physical location makes them a tangible business within the community, providing a point of contact for consultations, estimates, and any follow-up issues, though the effectiveness of that contact may vary based on the specific customer experience.
Based on the provided reviews, Arrow Roofing and Siding offers a range of services related to home exteriors, with a focus on roofing and siding.
- Roof Replacement: One of the key services highlighted is full roof replacement. A customer was pleased to find that Arrow Roofing and Siding offered the cheapest bid for a full replacement, a service that other companies were not even offering, which speaks to their willingness to take on larger, more comprehensive jobs.
- Roof Repairs: While not explicitly mentioned in the positive review, the negative review concerning flashing issues points to the company performing repairs or installations related to roofing components.
- Siding Installation and Repair: The negative review centered on siding damage, indicating that siding is a core part of their service offerings. The customer was dissatisfied with the work, but it confirms that the company works on siding.
- General Contracting: The reviews hint at a business that manages more than just one task. The person who had their siding replaced also had issues with the roof flashing, suggesting that they undertake jobs that involve multiple parts of the home's exterior envelope.
- Free Bids and Quotes: One of the strong points from the positive review was that the representative was "quick to quote" and provided a competitive bid, which is an important step for any homeowner when beginning a project.
The provided customer reviews offer two distinct sets of highlights for Arrow Roofing and Siding. On one hand, there are positive aspects that would attract any potential customer.
- Competitive Pricing: A major highlight from one review is that Arrow Roofing and Siding offered the "cheapest full replacement" among seven different bids. This is a significant factor for homeowners looking for value.
- Good Communication: The same customer praised the representative, Marc, for being "quick to quote and to respond to emails," which is a key element of a positive customer experience.
- Professional Crew and Work: The crew led by Abner was described as "professional" and the work as "excellent," with a "good job cleaning up after." These are all hallmarks of a well-run and competent team.
However, the negative review points to a number of severe issues that serve as a strong counterbalance to the positive highlights.
- Poor Workmanship and Long-Term Issues: The claim that poorly installed flashing ruined new soffits years later is a major red flag about the quality of the work and its long-term integrity.
- Property Damage and Cleanup: The customer reported "destroyed" window trim and "tons of trash in my yard including nails," which resulted in a flat tire. This indicates a severe lack of care and professionalism on the job site.
- Rude and Disrespectful Staff: The review claims that the workers were "rude and disrespectful," a significant detractor from any service-based business.

Arrow Roofing and Siding's suitability for locals in Ohio is a complex question with no single answer. The company's profile presents a mix of experiences, with one customer praising their excellent pricing and professional service while another details a "disaster" that led to long-term property damage. For a local user, this information underscores the importance of due diligence. While they may offer competitive pricing for a full replacement, as one review suggests, the other review's claims of poor workmanship, property damage, and a lack of professionalism are serious concerns that cannot be ignored. Ultimately, the decision to hire Arrow Roofing and Siding would require a careful consideration of these contrasting accounts. Potential customers should weigh the potential for a cost-effective solution against the risk of a negative experience and potential long-term issues, making it crucial to get multiple bids and ask for references from recent jobs to ensure a positive outcome.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! The workers were rude and did a terrible job. They were rude, disrespectful. Damaged all my window trim they destroyed while redoing my siding. Left tons of trash in my yard including nails which I had a flat tire. What a disaster. This job was completed three or four years ago. The reason I now am submitting a review as I just learned that my new soffits that were done are ruined because they jacked up the flashing on my roof. So, I'm super disgusted with this company and I urge you not do business with this company. You will regret every moment of your decision.
Dec 26, 2021 · JadeExcellent pricing, fast service, and good communication. Marc was quick to quote and to respond to emails. Abner and crew did excellent work, were professional and did a good job cleaning up after. I had 7 different bids and Arrow was the third cheapest option. The cheapest 2 actually wanted to perform repairs or partial replacements but Arrow was the cheapest full replacement. I'm very happy with my decision.
Mar 06, 2019 · Christopher MartinDo not hire these people!I employed Arrow to do a flat roof repair over a back porch and later, to install new gutters and vented soffit front and rear at a small rental property. They installed the roof OK but put a new drip edge directly over the old, resulting in more water coming down my facia then into the gutters. They also had to install the gutters twice because they didn’t use a level the first time, resulting in water running the wrong way.On the front of the property, they were supposed to remove remnants of a flat roof that was torn off and install a course of new shingles and drip edge. They didn’t and the subs installed the gutter right over the old rubber.See photos. Nice work eh? Very professional. On the soffit instal, they ran out of material half way through and didn’t come back to compete the job for 5 weeks! When they did finally do the work they used panels with a different texture, making a bizarre appearance from the street. When I asked them to make all this right, they proceeded to “gas light” me about when it would happen. Always " We're waiting for material." or “Your on the schedule.” but never actually showing up.This project started in May and now we're into November. 6 months! Most places could build an entire house quicker then that.Last, this company has had it’s accreditation with the Better Business Bureau revoked. Their BBB rating is F (For some reason they have a 4.1 star average on Google though, which is one of the reasons I hired them. Lesson learned.)
Nov 21, 2019 · Greg SailorI'm a contractor myself and we had a great experience with Arrow. I had actually signed a contract with another company but wanted a few more bids.Marc Schmauch was our salesman and I have to say we were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalismWe immediately canceled the contract with the previous company and signed with ArrowWe had a full roof replacement and new vinyl siding installed. The workmanship was excellent. We would rate them higher if possible. Absolutely the company I will be recommending to EVERYONEThank you Marc and both your crews
Jan 17, 2019 · Patrick GilboyTo fix a leak, Arrow replaced our siding and flashing 4 years ago. After a leak sprang up in the same spot a few years later, we tried to get a hold of them, but could never get a reply over the phone or via email. Other companies assessed the leak and we had a new company redo the siding and flashing all over again. The new company pointed out where both the j-channel and flashing had previously been improperly installed by Arrow.
