Aspen Contracting, Inc. Introduce
For residents of Denver, Colorado, the choice of a roofing contractor is a decision that carries significant weight. The state's notorious hailstorms and unpredictable weather patterns mean that a home's primary defense—its roof—is often put to the test. When damage strikes, the process of finding a contractor can be daunting, and the stakes are high. This article provides a comprehensive and factual overview of Aspen Contracting, Inc., a roofing and exterior contracting company located in Denver. We will examine the company through the lens of local users, using publicly available information and real customer reviews to highlight both the praise and the criticism the company has received.
Denver is a major metropolitan hub, with a population of over 700,000 residents and a diverse mix of residential and commercial properties. The median household income in the city is around $91,681, reflecting a community that is deeply invested in homeownership and property maintenance. A significant portion of this market is driven by storm-related repairs. The average cost of a roof replacement in the region can be a substantial financial commitment, which makes the selection of a contractor with a solid reputation for quality, transparency, and integrity absolutely essential. The Denver roofing market is highly competitive, and homeowners must be vigilant in their research to ensure they partner with a company that will serve their best interests, especially when dealing with complex insurance claims.
Aspen Contracting, Inc. has an office located at 1560 Broadway #2090, Denver, CO 80202, USA. This location in the heart of downtown Denver places them in a prime position to serve the entire metropolitan area. Having an office in the city's core can be a benefit for local clients, as it suggests a stable presence within the community. For homeowners dealing with a roofing emergency, a local office can imply a faster response time and easier access to project managers and company representatives. However, it is important for potential clients to consider all aspects of a company's reputation, including their service model and customer feedback, to ensure that their local presence is matched by a positive and reliable business practice.
Aspen Contracting, Inc. offers a wide range of services, catering to both residential and commercial clients. Their services extend beyond just roofing, which can be an advantage for homeowners who need a single company to handle multiple exterior repairs.
Residential and Commercial Roofing: The company provides comprehensive services for both types of properties, including new installations, full replacements, and general repairs. Their work is noted in a positive review for being professional and efficient.
Hail and Storm Damage: Given Colorado's weather, this is a core service. The company helps clients who have experienced damage from hailstorms and other weather events. A positive review highlights how one of their representatives, Lewis Johnson, was instrumental in ensuring the insurance company covered everything properly.
Gutters and Siding: The company offers a holistic approach to a home's exterior, also providing installation and repair services for gutters and siding. A review notes how a representative coordinated with other contractors, such as painting and window companies, to ensure a seamless project.
Assistance with Insurance Claims: A key aspect of their service, as highlighted in a positive review, is their ability to help clients navigate the insurance claim process. This can be a major benefit for homeowners who find this process confusing or overwhelming.
The features and highlights of Aspen Contracting, Inc. are a mix of both positive and negative attributes, as reflected in the provided customer feedback. It is important to consider both perspectives to form a balanced view.
Exceptional Project Management (Positive): A customer who had a second roof replaced was highly pleased with the work of Lewis Johnson, the project manager. Lewis was praised for exceeding expectations by not only handling the insurance company but also coordinating with other contractors. This demonstrates a high level of professionalism and dedication to the customer's overall project.
Professional and Efficient Crews (Positive): The crew who installed the first roof for a repeat customer was described as "extremely professional and efficient." This indicates that the on-site labor force is capable of delivering high-quality work in a timely manner.
High-Pressure Sales Tactics (Negative): A highly critical review highlighted a deeply troubling experience with a salesperson. The review mentioned aggressive, pushy tactics, and being rushed to sign a contract on the spot without time to fully understand it. This is a significant red flag for any potential customer.
Deceptive Pricing and Scare-Mongering (Negative): The same negative review reported a salesperson exaggerating the urgency of the work, claiming the roof was in immediate danger of collapsing. It also noted that an initial quote was deceptively low, with costs later ballooning due to undisclosed "add-ons." This suggests a lack of transparency and an unethical approach to sales.
Helpful and Patient Communication (Positive): On the other hand, the positive review praised Lewis Johnson for being "very patient helping me understand more about roofing and my options." This shows that while some sales experiences may be negative, there are representatives within the company who provide excellent, educational communication.

The positive feedback highlights the company's ability to deliver a professional and efficient service, particularly with the help of a dedicated and knowledgeable project manager like Lewis Johnson. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a deeply troubling experience with the sales practices of Aspen Contracting, Inc., which left me feeling misled and frustrated. From the moment their salesperson knocked on my door, it was clear that they were more interested in making a quick sale than providing honest and transparent service. The salesperson was aggressive and pushy, using high-pressure tactics to try to get me to sign a contract on the spot. They repeatedly downplayed my concerns and questions, brushing them off with vague assurances that everything would be "taken care of." I felt like I was being rushed into a decision without being given the time to fully understand what I was agreeing to.One of the most alarming aspects of their approach was the way they exaggerated the urgency of the work that needed to be done. They claimed that my roof was in immediate danger of collapsing and that I had to act right away to avoid disaster. This scare tactic was not only dishonest but also incredibly stressful. After getting a second opinion from another contractor, I found out that the issues were not nearly as severe as Aspen made them out to be.In addition, their pricing was far from transparent. The initial quote they provided was deceptively low, designed to lure me in. However, once I showed interest, the costs began to balloon with a slew of add-ons and "necessary" upgrades that were never mentioned upfront. It was clear that their goal was to squeeze as much money out of me as possible, without regard for fairness or honesty. To top it all off, when I expressed hesitation, the salesperson became increasingly impatient and dismissive, even resorting to guilt-tripping tactics. They implied that I was neglecting my home by not moving forward with their services immediately, which I found to be manipulative and unprofessional. In summary, Aspen Contracting, Inc.’s sales practices are deeply concerning. They rely on high-pressure tactics, scare-mongering, and deceptive pricing to close deals, which is not only unethical but also incredibly stressful for potential customers. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to be extremely cautious and to seek multiple opinions before making any decisions.
Aug 30, 2024 · Billy Wayne RuddickI had used Aspen 5 years ago to replace 2 hail damaged roofs and was pleased with them. After a big hail storm in July damaged them again, I knew whom to call. Lewis Johnson has far exceeded my expectations by not only making sure the insurance company covered everything properly but also coordinating the input from my window and painting contractors. He has been very patient helping me understand more about roofing and my options. The crew who installed the first roof were extremely professional and efficient.
Oct 10, 2019 · Bernice YahyaAspen Contracting did a great job replacing our roof. They met every promised deadline they proposed. The shingles and associated materials were delivered on time. Their crew of five began the removal of singles in a timely manner. The replacement of the shingles proceeded in a workmanlike and systematic manner. I was pleased that they picked up the roof debris fully, including the nails that are part of the removal and installation of a roof. I was given a walk through of photos showing the results of their work. I would highly recommend Aspen Contracting for roof replacement.
Aug 03, 2019 · James DavisWe got a quote quickly...and then had a huge pain getting my solar panels removed (different vendor, not Aspen). This delayed the project by 3 months. Aspen was super cool and continued to check in every couple weeks to see how things were going. Once we were ready, they got the new roof installed quickly, sent follow up communication and pictures. Overall, a very professional and personal group of people. Shout out to Abraham, super patient despite all the delays from our side and a really nice guy.
Jan 15, 2020 · Daniel BeckerWe have had a wonderful experience with Aspen Contracting. After our insurance carrier denied our claim for a new roof due to hail damage, Lewis followed up with them persistently and as a result, we have a beautiful new roof. He's been great with follow up and just a pleasure to work with. Thank you Lewis!
