When it comes to securing this vital protection, you need a roofing contractor who not only possesses the technical expertise but also deeply understands the local climate and community needs. Bayview Roofing, a local and family-run business based in Bremerton, aims to be just that trusted partner.
Bayview Roofing has garnered a reputation for its diligent work ethic, commitment to safety, and a personalized approach to customer service. They understand that a new roof or a significant repair is a considerable investment, and they strive to make the process as smooth and transparent as possible. With a focus on quality workmanship and an aim to exceed expectations, Bayview Roofing offers comprehensive solutions to ensure your property remains safe, dry, and well-protected against the elements, solidifying their position as a reliable choice for residents across the Kitsap Peninsula.
Bayview Roofing is strategically located at 3987 WA-3, Bremerton, WA 98312, USA. This prime location places them at the heart of the Kitsap Peninsula, allowing for efficient and timely service across a wide geographical area. They proudly serve communities "from the Hood Canal, to the Tacoma Narrows, and everywhere in between," demonstrating their commitment to reaching clients throughout the peninsula. Their local presence means they are intimately familiar with regional building codes, common roofing challenges specific to Washington's climate, and the architectural styles prevalent in homes and businesses across Kitsap County. This localized understanding allows them to provide tailored, effective, and compliant roofing solutions that truly meet the needs of Washington residents.
Bayview Roofing offers a full line of residential and commercial roofing services, designed to address various needs from routine maintenance to complete overhauls. Their commitment to quality and comprehensive care ensures your property receives the best possible protection:
- Residential Roof Replacement: Specializing in replacing old or damaged composite roofs, ensuring homes are equipped with durable, new roofing systems that can withstand Washington's weather. They are experienced with composite roofing, a common choice in the region.
- New Roof Installation: For new construction projects, Bayview Roofing provides expert installation of roofing systems, ensuring proper sealing and longevity from the outset.
- Roof Repair and Maintenance: Addressing specific issues such as leaks, damaged shingles, or general wear and tear to extend the life of an existing roof and prevent minor problems from escalating.
- Commercial Roofing: Offering tailored roofing solutions for businesses, understanding the unique requirements of commercial properties, which often include different materials and installation techniques.
- Insurance Claim Assistance: As evidenced by customer referrals from insurance agents, they are likely experienced in working with insurance companies to facilitate claims related to roof damage.
- Information and Consultation: Providing valuable pre-packaged information about new roofs and maintaining open communication throughout the project, ensuring clients are well-informed.
Bayview Roofing's approach to business is characterized by several key features that set them apart in the Washington roofing market, as highlighted by their satisfied customers:
- Family-Run Business Advantage: As a "small family-run business," they often demonstrate greater flexibility and a more personal touch compared to larger companies. This allows for quicker project scheduling and more direct communication with owners.
- Impressive Efficiency and Speed: Customers note their ability to "complete the work in the middle of May" after an early April request, a timeline that "two of the bigger companies were unable to complete." This highlights their capacity for prompt service.
- Diligence and Safety Consciousness: Their workers are described as "very diligent and considerate of safety," which is paramount on any roofing project. This attention to safety reflects a professional and responsible approach.
- Personalized Customer Service: From the owner, Scott Carlson, being "very personal and communicative," to the office manager, Crystal, personally delivering invoices, and the estimator, Steve, providing "extremely important information," their team goes the extra mile in client interaction.
- Consideration for Personal Needs: They are mindful of client needs, including considerations for "clutter" around the property, ensuring minimal disruption and a clean work environment.
- Competitive and Transparent Practices: While the reviews don't explicitly state "competitive pricing," their ability to secure work against larger companies and achieve high satisfaction suggests a good value proposition. The mention of pre-packaged information and personal communication hints at transparency.
- High Customer Satisfaction: The five-star rating and strong recommendations from satisfied clients (like the one referred by State Farm) speak volumes about their dedication to quality outcomes.
While Bayview Roofing has many strong positives, it's also important for potential clients to be aware of all perspectives. One review highlighted a negative experience concerning a missed appointment and poor communication regarding an estimate for a roof repair. This situation involved unreturned calls, a confirmed appointment that was missed, and a subsequent late call from the estimator, with the reason given that it was "forgot to put it on his schedule." This suggests that, while they excel in project execution once underway, there might be occasional challenges with initial scheduling and communication for all types of inquiries, particularly for smaller jobs or estimates. It is always prudent for potential clients to confirm appointments thoroughly and maintain open lines of communication.
If you're a Washington resident on the Kitsap Peninsula and are considering Bayview Roofing for your next project, here's how to get in touch:

For residents across Washington's Kitsap Peninsula, selecting a roofing contractor is a crucial decision, impacting both the immediate safety and long-term value of their property. Bayview Roofing presents itself as a compelling choice, especially for those who value the personalized attention and efficiency often associated with a "small family-run business." The extensive positive review paints a picture of a company that excels in rapid project completion, diligent and safe work practices, and exceptional customer interaction, including direct communication from the owner, Scott Carlson, and valuable information from the estimator, Steve.
Their ability to complete significant work like a 30-year-old composite roof replacement in a timely manner, when larger companies could not, highlights their operational agility and commitment. The focus on safety and personal needs, as well as the office manager, Crystal, personally handling invoices, underscores a strong customer-first approach. While the single negative review regarding initial communication for an estimate is a point to note for due diligence, the overwhelming positive feedback for completed projects suggests that once Bayview Roofing is engaged, they are highly capable of delivering five-star results. For locals seeking a professional, efficient, and personable roofing experience with a commitment to quality, Bayview Roofing is certainly a suitable and highly recommended partner for safeguarding their Washington homes.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had an appointment with Scott to come give a bid to replace a roof on a house my son is closing on at the end of the month. I called Friday to verify they were coming out Monday morning at 10am and they confirmed. We drive the hour and a half to the house to meet them. We get there at 9:40am- at 10:15 I call the office and get no answer, so I try a few more times and finally someone answers and confirms Scott is on his way and should be there shortly.I call the next contractor that was scheduled for 11am and let them know they can come any time. He shows up at 10:30am and says thank you for letting me show up early as he has a full day. He does his thing, gives us his estimate and says we will have the complete bid in our email this afternoon. After he leaves I try calling the office and no one answers so we head home.I finally get a call from Scott at Noon, 2 hours after the appointment to see when we are available for him to come out.I told him I would never do business with a company that can not communicate with people and don't show up. The reason he gave was they forgot to put it on his schedule, you would think the owner would have better customer service.
Oct 07, 2024 · Troy CrismanI just learned about Bayview roofing this year through my State farm insurance agent in Silverdale, Nicole Grigg. I requested 3 estimates for replacing my 30 year old composite roof at the beginning of April. Two of the bigger companies were unable to complete the work prior to the end of the summer. Bayview being a small family-run business, completed the work in the middle of May. I was very impressed with their staff and the workers were very diligent and considerate of safety and also my personal needs regarding clutter. The office manager, Crystal personally delivered the invoice to my house and picked up my check for the work. The estimator Steve delivered a prepackaged packet of extremely important information about my roof which the big companies didn't do. Scott Carlson, the owner of the business was very personal and communicative about the work while it was being performed. I don't give out five stars very often but certainly Bayview roofing was entitled to this rating.
May 21, 2021 · Bill FultonThe replacement of my roof was completed on August 18, 2023. The roof looks great. On Wednesday evening, August 24, 2023, I noticed a piece of chipped exterior paint. I thought it was odd because my home had just been painted in August 2022. I went in search of the issue. I then noticed that the eaves surrounding my porch were damaged. They were exposed nails and chipped wood or just damaged and chipped wood from nails in all of the eaves surrounding my home. I sent Scott Carlson a text message Thursday morning (8/25/2023,) explaining the issue. I did not receive a reply so I sent an email to Scott Carlson on Friday morning (8/26/2023.). I once again, did not receive a reply. On Tuesday 8/29/2023, I filed a claim with Bayview Roofing’s insurance company. The insurance claims adjuster informed me that Bayview Roofing was willing to repair the damage. I explained that I no longer trust that the eaves will be repaired correctly, I submitted a bid from a contractor that I have worked with before. I have not received a response from Bayview Roofing yet. I have been checking with the claims adjuster. The 2 rating is because of the extensive damage to my eaves.
Nov 15, 2023 · Beverly HayesBayview roofing such stellar service. I called the owner he was so friendly and kind. The very next day they were out to do repairs on my roof. The workers very professional and work very efficient. They gave me quite a deal and did excellent and honest work for me. I'll have them out again for more work very soon. Thank you guys for being #1 in the roofing business!!!
Jan 01, 2020 · Kathleen Bartel-BrocksomeWOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD! I had Bayiew come-out to correct gross skylight deficiencies left by another roofer who installed new ones with a new roof in 2010. The skylights were very poorly seated, and thus were drafty and noisy (road noise from SR-3), as well as letting debris (and spiders!) through when the roof was blown for cleaning. I had to cancel once due to leaving town for a family medical emergency; but when I finally returned, they quickly rescheduled me for the next day. Spencer and Joey arrived right on time and started the repairs. They were nothing but exceptionally professional and competent, and you could tell they had a sincere desire to do the best repairs possible. Not only did they apply their professional expertise to diagnose and correct all seating problems with the [curb] mounting, but they also found & corrected additional problems of which I was not aware (missing fasteners & one skylight installed in the wrong direction). They finished in the exact time promised and the final price was within five dollars of the estimate Scott, the owner, had given me three months ago. This morning, I woke-up and walked past one of the skylights wondering if SR-3 was closed-down...no, just my skylights finally sealed properly! I could not have asked for a better customer experience and will definitely rely on them for any future roof work.
