- Residential Roofing: This is the core of their business, involving the installation, replacement, and repair of roofs on single-family homes.
- Commercial Roofing: They also offer services for commercial properties, including businesses and multi-family apartments. This requires specialized knowledge of different roofing systems and materials.
- Roof Inspections: A key part of their process is likely to be a comprehensive roof inspection to assess damage, determine the necessary repairs, and provide an accurate estimate.
- New Roof Installation: They handle full roof replacements, which can involve tearing off old shingles and installing a completely new roofing system.
- Roof Repair: For less extensive issues like leaks or damaged sections, they offer repair services to help extend the life of an existing roof.
- Storm Damage Repair: Given the frequent severe weather in the Southeast, they specialize in repairing roofs that have been damaged by hail, wind, or other storm elements.
- Soffit and Fascia Repair: Based on customer experiences, their services may also involve working on a home's fascia and soffit, which are critical components of the roofing and gutter system.
- Gutter Installation: While not explicitly stated in all information, gutters are often a part of a full roofing system, and a company like Buckhead Roofing may offer gutter services.
Public data about Buckhead Roofing reveals a complex picture of its business practices. While some customer experiences have raised serious concerns, other information points to a business with a structured approach. It is important for potential customers to consider all available information. Here are some of the key features and highlights based on public reviews and information:
- Detailed Estimates: One customer review highlights that a salesman provided a "detailed quote" after a thorough inspection and discussion of the home's specific needs. This suggests a commitment to a professional and informative sales process.
- Use of Subcontractors: As mentioned in a customer review, the company uses subcontractors for the installation work. This is a common practice in the industry, but it can sometimes lead to communication and quality control challenges if not managed effectively.
- Salesman as Project Manager: The same review indicates that the salesman, Sean, initially served as the project manager, promising to be present during the work. This direct line of communication between the sales and project phases is a highlight, though the execution in one case led to issues.
- Commitment to Addressing Issues: After a customer reported a problem, the company did send out a different crew to attempt to rectify the issues, including relaying shingles and replacing decking. This shows a willingness to correct subpar work, although the follow-up communication was reportedly lacking.
- Potential for Miscommunication: The review also points to a significant breakdown in communication. The customer noted that the salesman attempted to "shirk responsibility" and claimed certain items were outside the scope of work, despite evidence to the contrary. This indicates that clarity and consistency can be an issue.
- Concerns about Warranty Information: Another review raises a serious concern about the company's lack of responsiveness regarding shingle warranty information. A warranty is a crucial component of any new roof, and a refusal to provide this information is a red flag for a potential customer.

For local residents, the suitability of this company is dependent on their comfort with the business's public profile, which includes both detailed sales processes and significant customer service challenges. The use of subcontractors and the reported issues with project management and follow-up communication are important factors to consider. However, the subsequent lack of communication and unresolved issues, including warranty information and unfinished work, raise serious concerns for any homeowner considering a major investment. For local users, this company serves as a reminder to be extremely thorough in their vetting process. It is advisable to ask detailed questions about the use of subcontractors, project management oversight, and warranty policies. While Buckhead Roofing offers the convenience of a local presence and a broad range of services, potential clients should approach with caution and ensure they have a clear, written contract that outlines all aspects of the project, including timelines, responsibilities, and warranty information, before moving forward with any work.

Buckhead Roofing Reviews
Review: 0 StarsWe chose Buckhead because of the quality of our salesman, Sean. Sean provided a detailed quote after spending over an hour educating us on the nuances of our old Sumter, SC home and learning about our larger renovation plans for this property. Sean assured us that he would personally be there during the work and would ensure the job was done to his standards. Additionally, we were told that an independent inspector would sign off on Buckhead's work. Buckhead was thousands more expensive than other vendors, but Sean made us feel like we were prioritizing peace of mind and getting the job done right.Unfortunately, this was a misjudgment on our part. Sean was not present for the majority of the job and did not come out to ensure the job was done (April 4th). Upon our layman's inspection after the crew left, we found visibly warped shingles and decking, gaps under the shingles at the roof's edge, visible underlayment, and significant gaps in our fascia and soffit....and exposed wood! Our home looked worse than before we brought Buckhead in. Additionally, the crew did not clean up the property, resulting in multiple flat tires in vehicles parked in our driveway. This experience is not one I can recommend to anyone.Sean let us know after that the crew that did the work was a subcontractor - and tried to shirk responsibility. Sean claimed that the fascia and soffit were outside of his scope, despite us witnessing the crew haphazardly rip it off our house and throw it to the ground. He attempted to tell me that what I was seeing were not gaps, underlayment, and warping, all without taking the time to come back out to the property. After persistence on my part, Sean agreed to bring the crew back out. I insisted on a different crew after losing trust in the quality of the first crew's work. A few weeks later, Sean came out with a new crew. They spent an entire additional day (the original job was done in one day) pulling up shingles, replacing decking that was misinstalled, and relaying shingles. They did their best to reinstall the soffit, but permanent damage was done. Unfortunately, they were not able to finish the job and still needed to come back to take care of undone items, including installing gutters which were not in stock on the day of our job.My last contact with Sean was on April 21st (today is May 1), the day before they were supposed to come out to take the next step. After several calls and texts, including asking for the contact information of his manager, I have not heard back from Sean or any representative of Buckhead. I have no idea what the next steps are, and the company's phone numbers have all gone to voicemail day after day. Today I called the after hours number and the person claimed to be Sean's boss could not provide me with any actual next steps or information. He could not confirm when I would hear back - so here is this post. While I feel like I gave Buckhead more than enough time to get it right, I feel like I am out of options. I hope they will read this post and find a way to finish my job and make this right. I've attached photos. You be the judge. Would you pay nearly twenty thousand dollars for this work?
May 02, 2025 · Jessica ScheinI would give zero stars if I could. I had a roof installed by Buckhead and the process was a nightmare. The company refuses to provide any information to me about the shingle warranty and simply will not respond to requests. I do not recommend this company. Use at your own risk.
Apr 24, 2025 · Amanda ArriagaExcellent experience with Buckhead! Hunter stopped by and offered me a free inspection to make sure that my roof looked good. He was very professional and was a pleasure to talk with. He made sure to leave his business card and told me to reach back out when I was ready to handle the necessary repairs.
Feb 04, 2025 · Lilly Grace GaultAbsolutely terrible service. Mike has been consistently dragging his feet since October 1, 2025. I call, I text and even contacted the main office. Once in a while he will respond but only to say he doesn't know when he can get me on the schedule. I can't get any responses otherwise or even a quote to fix my roof but yet I'm under contract with them. Since my insurance company is denying a full roof replacement, it appears they want nothing more to do with the job if it isn't more money. And to top it all off, the last time they were here to do a video for my insurance company on repairs, they bent the gutter. Still no response. Don't hire this company if you expect to get something fixed. They only care if you want to have a full roof replacement so they can get more money.
Feb 03, 2025 · Alison BGreat customer service! I will definitely be using Buck head roofing! Hunter was extremely knowledgeable and informative and was able to answer all of our questions. I highly recommend!
