Desert Valley Construction & Roofing Introduce
For residents and businesses in San Jacinto, California, and the broader Inland Empire region, selecting a reliable and professional roofing contractor is a decision of paramount importance. The roof is the primary defense of any building against the often-harsh Southern California climate, which can include intense heat, strong winds, and occasional heavy rainfall. When seeking a company to perform repairs, replacements, or new construction, customers expect not only quality workmanship but also a high degree of professionalism, accountability, and safety. This article provides a clear, factual, and detailed overview of Desert Valley Construction & Roofing, a company located in San Jacinto. We will examine their address, services, and, most critically, the feedback provided by real customers, which sheds light on their operational practices and post-project accountability. Our goal is to equip local users with the necessary information to make a well-informed choice for their construction and roofing projects.
The construction industry is built on a foundation of trust, and a contractor's reputation is their most valuable asset. Customers entrust their homes and properties to these professionals, expecting that the work will be done correctly, safely, and that the company will stand by their work. This article's purpose is to present a balanced view of Desert Valley Construction & Roofing by compiling publicly available information. We will analyze their physical location and its implications for accessibility, as well as the services they are likely to offer. However, a significant portion of this analysis will be dedicated to a critical examination of the customer reviews. These firsthand accounts offer a powerful, unfiltered perspective on the company's performance, especially when things do not go as planned. This insight is essential for anyone considering hiring a contractor, as it can reveal a great deal about their reliability and customer service policies.
Desert Valley Construction & Roofing is located at 618 W 7th St, San Jacinto, CA 92583, USA. This address places the company within the community it serves, offering a distinct advantage to local residents. A local presence often means the contractor is familiar with the specific building codes, regulations, and common architectural styles of the San Jacinto area. Furthermore, a nearby contractor can often provide quicker response times for estimates, project scheduling, and, most importantly, emergency situations. Their location on W 7th St makes them a central and accessible resource for the community, which is a key factor for many homeowners when they begin their search for a reliable contractor.
However, as highlighted by customer feedback, the physical accessibility of a business does not always correlate with its professional accessibility or accountability. The ease of getting in touch with a company and their willingness to address post-project issues are often more important than their proximity. While their San Jacinto address provides a logistical benefit, a full understanding of their suitability requires a deeper look into their operational practices and customer service, particularly in challenging situations. The reviews suggest a significant disparity between the company's initial promises and its follow-through, which is a crucial point for any potential client to consider.
Based on the company's name, Desert Valley Construction & Roofing, it is clear that they offer a range of services that go beyond just roofing. Their name suggests a focus on both general construction and specialized roofing projects. While specific details of their service offerings are not provided in the reviews, the nature of the complaints gives us some insight.
- Roofing Services: The company was hired to perform roofing work, which is the direct cause of the issues described in the reviews. This indicates that roof installation, repair, and replacement are core services they provide.
- Construction Services: The inclusion of "Construction" in their name suggests that they handle a broader scope of projects, which could include framing, remodeling, or other general contracting work.
- Project Site Management: The customer reviews, which focus on cleanliness and safety, suggest that a key part of their service includes managing the work site, particularly the cleanup of debris.
When evaluating Desert Valley Construction & Roofing, it is essential for locals to consider the key features and highlights that emerge from the public data, both positive and negative. The provided reviews are particularly critical and reveal significant concerns about the company's practices.
- Association with Another Company: A key piece of information is that this company is also identified as "Gardner Roofing Co." This could be a point of confusion for potential customers and suggests they may operate under different names, which is something to be aware of.
- Safety and Cleanup Issues: A major red flag highlighted in the reviews is the company's failure to properly clean up the work site. Customers reported that the crew "left nails in our parking lot and driveway," leading to costly tire damage. This is a serious safety and negligence issue that directly impacted the customer.
- Lack of Post-Project Accountability: A critical highlight is the company's alleged failure to resolve the issue they caused. The owner, Benz, reportedly ignored the customer's calls, texts, and emails after promising to "make it right." This demonstrates a significant lack of accountability and customer service.
- Broken Promises: The owner's failure to keep his word to compensate for the damages is a key point. This suggests that the company's promises of good service may not be reliable, particularly when a problem arises.
- Damaging Consequences: The reviews detail the financial cost and inconvenience to the customer, who had to spend "hundreds $$ to buy used tire replacements" for "hard-to-replace" tires. This illustrates the direct negative consequences of the company's negligence.

In conclusion, the suitability of Desert Valley Construction & Roofing for locals in San Jacinto must be assessed with extreme caution. While the company's local presence and range of services may initially seem appealing, the provided customer reviews raise serious concerns that cannot be ignored. The issues of negligence in site cleanup, the resulting financial damage to the customer, and the complete failure of the owner, Benz, to follow through on promises of accountability are significant red flags. For a roofing and construction project, which is a major investment, a contractor's integrity and willingness to stand by their work are non-negotiable. The reviews explicitly advise against using this company, warning potential clients that if "something goes wrong they will not help you." This powerful feedback, coupled with the company's alleged practice of operating under multiple names (Desert Valley Construction & Roofing and Gardner Roofing Co.), paints a picture of a business whose reliability and professionalism are highly questionable. Locals are strongly advised to conduct extensive due diligence and consider all available feedback before entrusting this company with their construction and roofing needs.

Desert Valley Construction & Roofing Reviews
This is the same company as Gardner Roofing Co. They left nails in our parking lot and driveway. Yes! We had some 'hard-to-replace' tires and asked that they keep the nails cleaned up. They did not and we had to spend hundreds $$ to buy used tire replacements. The owner, Benz, after asking for pics, tire sizes, etc... simply ignored us. We called, texted and emailed several times, but he did not keep his word when he said he would 'make it right'. He did nothing!!!! Do NOT use these guys! If something goes wrong they will not help you!!!

Oct 23, 2019 · Kelli ErskineA true fraud and a scamming business. They gave us an estimate for a roofing job repair, collected a deposit and never heard from again. They never returned our calls and never showed up. Be aware, this is a true scam and a fraudulent business.
