This was my first time having to replace a roof, and this experience was a replacement of a slate roof, 96 years old, with a shingle roof. Roof was a two-story Dutch colonial with a porch in the garage, so there was going to be significant amount of tear down to the original hardwood surface. In one day, the Installer that was sub To complete the work, was able to strip down all of the slate and old paper within Five hours. Some minor board replacement was completed, and the roof was completely sealed up and shingled in another 6 1/2 hours. Breaking down the slate roof added a considerable amount of cleanup requirement, which was taken care of primarily on the first day. The next day, a partial crew returned and spent another several hours, completing a more detailed cleanup of the job site in addition to adding aluminum flashing, that was originally planned. I only found one area that was overlooked with some trim shingle work, and another small crew was dispatched to take care of finishing that up the day after I called. Overall, you wouldn’t be able to look at the house and say that any work ever transpired, because of how thorough the installation and cleanup was completed. The complement of having the project manager from Erie and the subcontract owner manager worked well with the installation of the new new roof. As a manufacturing site contractor coordinator, I appreciate it our responsive those two managing the work completed was. I have a home in Florida, and I would definitely consider having Erie propose to replace my roof there when the time comes. - B Emmel

Erie Home Introduce

For homeowners across New Jersey, the roof is one of the most critical components of their property. It serves as the primary shield against the state's diverse and often severe weather, from summer storms to heavy winter snowfalls. When a roof reaches the end of its lifespan or is damaged, finding a reputable and skilled contractor is a top priority. Erie Home, with a local office in Moorestown, has positioned itself as a major player in the home improvement and roofing sector, offering comprehensive solutions for roof replacements and other exterior projects.

Erie Home is a company that focuses on large-scale home renovations, with a particular emphasis on roofing. They understand that a new roof is a significant investment and a major project for any homeowner, and their business model is built around efficiency and project management. Their approach often involves a combination of in-house management and subcontracted installation crews, designed to complete jobs quickly and with minimal disruption to the homeowner's life. The company's goal is to provide a complete solution, from the initial consultation and material selection to the final installation and cleanup, aiming for a result that leaves a lasting impression.

However, as with any large-scale contractor, customer experiences can vary. Some homeowners praise the company's speed and project management, while others express concerns about the promises made during the sales process and the quality of the final product. These varying perspectives provide a comprehensive look at what homeowners in New Jersey can expect when working with a company like Erie Home, offering insights into their strengths and potential weaknesses.

Erie Home’s New Jersey office is conveniently located at 1247 N Church St # 8, Moorestown, NJ 08057, USA. This location places the company strategically in Burlington County, making it easily accessible to homeowners throughout South and Central New Jersey. The Moorestown address serves as a hub for their operations, allowing them to efficiently coordinate projects and dispatch crews to various job sites.

The central location in Moorestown is a significant advantage for serving a broad clientele. It allows them to reach nearby communities like Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel, and Evesham, as well as extending their services to other parts of the state. This accessibility is key for a company that handles large-scale projects, as it ensures they can manage logistics and project timelines effectively. Having a physical presence in the area also lends a sense of credibility and permanence, which can be reassuring for homeowners making a substantial investment in their property. While Erie Home operates on a national scale, its local office gives it a local point of contact and a presence in the community.

Customers can visit the office for consultations or to address any concerns. However, the primary mode of operation for a company of this nature is typically on-site service, with project managers and sales representatives visiting homes. The Moorestown address serves as the nerve center for these operations, providing a local base for a nationally recognized brand.

Erie Home specializes in a variety of home improvement services, with a strong emphasis on roofing and exterior renovations. Their services are designed to provide a comprehensive solution for homeowners looking to upgrade or repair their property.

  • Roof Replacement: This is a core service, with one customer review detailing the replacement of a 96-year-old slate roof with a new shingle roof. The process includes a full tear-down and meticulous installation.
  • Flashing and Trim Work: The company handles detailed work such as the installation of aluminum flashing and other trim, which are essential for a watertight and finished roof.
  • Cleanup and Debris Removal: After a major project like a roof replacement, there is often a significant amount of debris. The reviews highlight that Erie Home is diligent about cleanup, ensuring the job site is left in pristine condition.
  • Flat Roof and Shingle Installation: The company has experience with different types of roofs, including flat roofs and traditional shingle installations.

The services offered by Erie Home are extensive and professional, aimed at providing a complete solution for homeowners. However, the quality of these services appears to be a point of contention among different customers. While some rave about the quick and thorough work, another customer points out issues such as "wrinkles in the flat roof" and concerns about shingles coming off. This discrepancy underscores the importance of a detailed contract and clear expectations for the scope and quality of the work.

Erie Home has several features and highlights that are frequently mentioned in customer reviews, both positive and negative. These points help to paint a full picture of what it's like to work with the company.

  • Rapid Installation: A significant highlight is the speed of their work. One customer noted a full tear-down and shingle installation on a large Dutch colonial roof was completed in just over a day. This efficiency can be a huge benefit for homeowners.
  • Thorough Cleanup: The company receives praise for its meticulous cleanup process. Crews are diligent about removing all debris, to the point where the property looks untouched after the work is completed.
  • Responsive Project Management: Positive reviews mention that the project manager and the subcontractor manager worked well together and were responsive. This level of coordination is appreciated by customers, especially when dealing with complex projects.
  • Mixed Sales and Financing Experience: This is a significant point of concern. One customer described the salesman as "very charismatic" but alleged that the promised rate was not what they received. This review also mentioned issues with the financing company, including late fees and high interest on interest, making the note difficult to pay off.
  • Inconsistent Work Quality: While one customer was very satisfied with their installation, another reported issues with their new flat roof, including wrinkles and concerns about it coming off in the wind. This suggests that the quality of the work may vary depending on the specific crew and project.

These features highlight a company that excels at logistical efficiency and cleanup but may have inconsistencies in its sales practices and final workmanship. The financing issues are a particularly serious concern raised by a customer, and it is something that any potential client should carefully consider.

To get in touch with Erie Home for a consultation or service, New Jersey residents can use the following information.

Address: 1247 N Church St # 8, Moorestown, NJ 08057, USAPhone: (856) 360-2830

Before engaging with the company, it is advisable for potential customers to ask detailed questions about the entire process, including the sales pitch, financing terms, and the specific crews that will be assigned to their project.

For locals in the New Jersey region, Erie Home presents a compelling but mixed option for roofing and home exterior projects. On one hand, its reputation for fast, efficient service and thorough cleanup is highly appealing, especially for homeowners dealing with a major renovation. The positive review showcases a company capable of managing a large-scale, complex project with professionalism and attention to detail. On the other hand, the negative feedback raises serious red flags regarding the sales process, financing, and the potential for inconsistent workmanship. The issues with the flat roof and the allegedly misleading financing terms are significant concerns that cannot be overlooked. Therefore, while Erie Home may be a suitable choice for some, particularly those who value speed and efficiency, it is critical for any homeowner considering their services to conduct thorough research, get all agreements in writing, and carefully review all financing documents before signing. By being proactive and well-informed, a New Jersey homeowner can navigate the process with a better chance of a positive outcome.
