I had Jauquet put a roof on my house 13 years ago and it is now leaking. He had us upgrade to 30 year shingles, so I hoped it would have lasted a little longer. I tried to contact him to have him take a look at the roof now that it's leaking, but he never got back to us.Other roofers who have looked at the roof since it started leaking have noticed a number of install issues that I didn't know about which make me hesitant to get another roof done by this company. The ridge vents that were "installed" were never cut into the roof, so they are basically useless. This may have contributed to the short lifespan of the roof.Also, the leaks that exist are likely due to inadequate sheathing when the roof was done. The shingles were installed to my old horizontal roof boards, so when a nail hits a gap, they tend to leak there instead of sealing. This could have been remedied by laying a layer of thin osb first, which all 3 quotes I've gotten this time have included, but Jauquet never mentioned.We also found a lot of debris after install around the yard: bits of old shingle and plenty of nails - both new and old.
