★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BEWARE DO NOT HIRE LOBERG ROOFING CO. – INADEQUATE WORKMANSHIP NO INTEGRATY!Loberg Roofing Co. /Brian Loberg (Owner), Roger Allestad (Business Manager) and Joe Benson (Project Manager) do not stand with integrity. The statue of repose in the State of Washington is 6 years for construction defect. Reach out to a Construction Attorney if you are within six years from the completion of construction or termination of service. Our less than 8-year commercial roof install has extensive rot and water damage with leaking inside the building. Do not be fooled by their 30 years of experience in-business marketing scheme. The inadequate negligent poor-quality installation has and is causing extreme dry rot damage related to the leaks in our roof everywhere our equipment was not flashed correctly, pipe boots were not replaced and plastic vents used and sealed correctly. This is all caused by the metal flashing that was not installed correctly, and, in some areas, excessive caulking was used. All our equipment was not properly flashed, our restaurants grease exhaust fan box, AC units, and cooling units all have major water damage pointing to massive dry rot, mold, rust, leaks and catastrophic damage to our interior ceilings and walls. Joe Benson, the project manager at the time, clearly was not monitoring the workmanship and billed us for services and materials not provided. We paid for a proper wall cricket that also was not installed correctly. We paid for services and materials (T1-11) we did not receive.Extremely disappointing when calling their office Jenny, the office representative mentioned we did not have a warranty, and we need to pay $450.00 to have someone come to look at the damage with $100 per hour repair. Joe had stated we had a 10-year warranty; we overlooked the contract, and it was left out. After meeting with reputable professional roofers, they all expressed the terrible negligent workmanship done on our install. Only after reaching out to Loberg Roofing for the second time they agreed to meet. Roger Allestad Business Manager admitted when he met with us he agreed they did not do a good job during the install and needed to talk to the owner Bryan Lober to help make it right. They both returned to assess the damage and agreed to resolve the areas of concern. They wrote up a work scope. However, we agreed we’d revisit the attic over the weekend since it was going to rain to make sure we had no other issues. Roger did seem to have a slight heart he felt concerned, and in so many words warned me they would not be willing to do much more. During our personal inspection we noticed in the attic signs of leaks, and dry rot was even more extensive than previously expected. We requested the work scope cover the full backside of the building and expressed to avoid future damage reinstallation was needed. We sent them pictures as Roger had said everything looked to be in contained only to the are we had the ceiling cave in.We sent a list documenting all the areas needing to be redone along with the pictures requesting the scope of the work needed to include the full re-roofing of the backside of the building from the ridge downward. Loberg Roofing/Brian and Roger withdrew their offer for Good Will repair work. Per Roger’s statement “The statue of repose in the State of Washington is 6 years for construction defect and would like to part ways on this project.” They did not want to take on the full scope of the work damage incurred by their company’s negligence. They were not even willing to reimburse us for the T1-11 we paid for, however it was never installed. This company and management do not stand by its integrity, quality and craftmanship, and proper installation. They should not be in business. Brian Loberg’s dad would be deeply disappointed to see how his company has gone down hill and his son and upper management have no standards and ethics taking advantage of people.
Mar 23, 2025 · P. P.Austin Loberg started work my 600sq' weather deck in January 2024. Was inspected by manufacturer IB on Jan. 30th and emailed to Loberg on Jan. 31. Waited over a week for the report. I called the manufacturer and Loberg lost the report in their email. Received the report on Feb. 9th from Zac @ Loberg. Inspection failed on 7 items, requiring two employees to do rework across a day. Reinspection was to occur on 3/14/24 & cancelled. And they demanded full payment prior to final inspection. Still waiting for the job to be finalized to install deck tiles and siding. The crew is hard working and competent as far as they are trained by the owners on installation specs. The management is more concerned about sales than quality & customer relations.
Mar 14, 2024 · ArnoldI hired Loberg to fix the roof on a commercial building as well as my home. If I could give zero stars, I would. Every time I tried to contact the business, it took several weeks to receive a reply, while they were (supposed to be) actively working on fixing a leak. Weeks went by between attempts to repair the leak, and each time they had to come back to attempt the repair again, it was after I spent at least 2 weeks calling and leaving messages almost daily. They failed to fix it each time. My roof is still leaking. It often takes many tries to fully fix a leak, so this is understandable, but refusing to take my calls or call me back for weeks at a time between attempts is absolutely not understandable. I've been forced to just live with a bucket catching water in my bedroom for months because they keep ignoring me.Loberg has already been paid for the commercial repair, as they completed that portion of the job first, and as soon as they had our money, they reneged on the agreement to repair the house and refused to return our calls. When I finally tracked someone down after weeks of trying, I was told repeatedly that it was not his fault for failing to call me back over the past couple months since the other employees at the company did not deliver the dozens of messages I had left over the course of months.I very much regret going with this company. I'm only still trying to work with them because we have already given them tens of thousands of dollars and we are stuck.Update: While the main office seems a mess, the actual roofer we are working with, Scott, has been doing all he can to improve our experience. Upon learning everything we were dealing with, he made sure to give us his direct phone number to ensure we would no longer have to deal with the inability of the office to deliver dozens of messages. The terrible experience we had has to do with the office and the way the business is run, not Scott's service or skill. We very much appreciate the way Scott is handling the job moving forward. However, this is no way to run a business. It is absolutely unacceptable to have such a major breakdown at the customer-facing level and expect the technician to shoulder the responsibility of running the business. Other employees at the company repeatedly put the blame on Scott, when it appears that the ball was dropped well before the issue ever even reached him. While we are happy to work with Scott specifically, I would never go through the hassle of dealing with Loberg as a company again.
Apr 22, 2023 · Jen WilsonThis company did an amazing job! When the snows delayed the start of the job, they kept in communication with us daily. They cleaned up their work site daily. And once it was completed you could almost not even tell they had been there, except for a brand new roof! Quality work, very timely, great communication, and overall pricing for work done was extremely competitive. We will definitely use them for any future jobs and highly recommend them to any friends and family looking for a referral.
Mar 10, 2019 · Tim AtkinsonLoberg Roofing installed a 40 year roof in 2010 (13 years ago) on our home. The roof is of extremely poor workmanship, was installed incorrectly, and it has numerous leaks. When their workman came to assess our leak, he informed me that our roof was actually not leaking and the drips were instead caused by condensation from inside the house. He insisted this was the case even though I told him it only drips when it rains. We have since had other roofers come out and very easily locate many leaks throughout our roof, directly caused by poor workmanship.Loberg roofing is not only unwilling to stand by their work, I felt they were also being very dishonest with me.We will ultimately require a new roof after only 13 years.
