RRCA - Roofing & Reconstruction Contractors of America Introduce
For homeowners and business owners in the Fort Lauderdale area, the decision of choosing a roofing contractor is one that carries significant weight. The unique challenges of the Florida climate—from the intense heat and humidity to the destructive power of hurricanes—mean that a roof is more than just a structural element; it's a critical investment in the safety and security of your property. Navigating this process, especially when dealing with insurance companies, can be complex and stressful. This is where a company like RRCA - Roofing & Reconstruction Contractors of America steps in, positioning itself as a partner in not only the physical construction but also in the logistical and administrative aspects of a roofing project. This article will provide an in-depth, balanced overview of RRCA, drawing from available public data and real customer reviews to help you make an informed decision. We will explore their location, the services they offer, and the key features that define their reputation, which includes both glowing praise and serious concerns. By the end, you will have a comprehensive picture of what to expect when working with this company and why it is crucial to conduct your own due diligence before committing to a project.
The public perception of RRCA is a mix of positive and negative experiences, as evidenced by the provided customer reviews. On one hand, there is a review that describes an "exceptional" experience with a team that was "responsive, dealt with our insurance company in a timely way," and provided great communication from a team member named Shari. The customer was "highly recommend" the company, praising the efficiency of the workers and the quality of their cleanup. This review highlights the company's ability to provide a smooth, professional, and stress-free process, particularly for clients who are navigating the complexities of an insurance claim. The positive feedback shows a company that, at its best, is organized, communicative, and delivers a high-quality finished product. It suggests a strong focus on project management and customer service, with individual team members going above and beyond to ensure a good outcome. For many Florida residents who have to deal with the aftermath of a storm, a contractor who can handle the insurance aspect effectively is a valuable asset, and this review indicates that RRCA can fulfill that role with professionalism and care.
On the other hand, a second review raises serious and concerning allegations. The customer warns others to "Beware of RRCA - Possible Ponzi Scheme," claiming they paid a deposit in March with a promise of installation within 6 to 8 weeks, but six months later, no work had been done. The review alleges numerous "excuses and false promises" and states that the company became unresponsive, ignoring calls and emails for three months. The customer also claims that the owner, Lee Haight, and a salesperson, Omer Imrek, made assurances that were not met, leading the customer to conduct further research and conclude that the company might be "operating a Ponzi scheme, collecting deposits without delivering services." This is a very serious and critical piece of feedback that potential clients must consider. It suggests a potential for significant project delays, a lack of communication, and an inability to deliver on promises, which are all major red flags in the contracting world. While one positive review praises the company, this negative review presents a stark contrast, highlighting a potential for a poor customer experience, financial loss, and a complete breakdown of trust. This mixed feedback underscores the importance of a thorough vetting process for any contractor you consider, including a review of their license status, complaint history, and a clear understanding of payment schedules and project timelines. For local users, this information is not just a warning but a call to action to protect themselves from potential issues.
RRCA - Roofing & Reconstruction Contractors of America is located at 3337 NW 55th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, USA. This location places them in a position to serve the Fort Lauderdale community and the surrounding Broward County region. Being situated in a central area allows their crews to be accessible for various projects, whether they are in nearby neighborhoods or in a different part of the county. The company's presence in Fort Lauderdale gives them a local footprint, which can be an advantage for clients who prefer to work with contractors who have a physical presence in their community. This location provides them with an inherent understanding of local building codes, permitting processes, and the specific roofing challenges that properties in this part of Florida face. While a company's physical location is a positive indicator of its local commitment, the conflicting customer reviews highlight the importance of not relying solely on location as a measure of reliability. The accessibility of their office and team is a feature that, when combined with positive customer experiences, can be a major benefit, but the negative review suggests that this accessibility might not always translate into effective communication or project completion. For locals considering RRCA, it is important to remember that while they are located in Fort Lauderdale, their operational effectiveness and commitment to a project are what truly matter. It is a reminder that the reputation of a company is built on its actions, not just its location.
- Insurance Claims Assistance: A key service highlighted in a positive review is the company's ability to deal with the insurance company in a "timely way." This is a crucial service for many Floridians who are dealing with storm damage and need professional help navigating the complex claims process. RRCA's expertise in this area is a significant benefit.
- Roof Replacement and Installation: The positive review mentioned that the "roof looks great," indicating that the company performs full roof replacements or installations. They have a team of workers who can handle the physical installation process, and a strong cleanup effort is also noted.
- Residential and Commercial Roofing: As a roofing and reconstruction contractor, RRCA is equipped to handle projects for both residential and commercial properties. Their expertise is versatile and can be applied to a variety of building types and sizes, addressing the diverse needs of the South Florida market.
- Project Management and Communication: The positive review highlights a strong project management team, including team members like Blaine, Joe, and Shari, who were responsive and kept the client "in the loop." This suggests a commitment to clear and consistent communication throughout the project timeline, which is a major factor in customer satisfaction.
- Expertise in Insurance Claims: A standout feature of RRCA is their proven ability to work with insurance companies on behalf of the client. The positive review mentions this as a key benefit, making the process "stress-free." For homeowners with storm damage, this service can be invaluable.
- Responsive and Communicative Team: The positive review praises the company's team for being "responsive" and "available to answer questions." The high level of communication from the office staff, like Shari, is a significant highlight and a sign of a well-managed and customer-focused operation.
- Quality Workmanship and Cleanup: The positive feedback on the appearance of the new roof and the efficient cleanup by the workers points to a high standard of quality in both the work and the project completion process. This attention to detail is a major feature that contributes to client satisfaction.
- Potential for Project Delays and Lack of Communication: The negative review presents a serious red flag, alleging a six-month delay, unresponsiveness, and a lack of accountability. This conflicting feedback is a critical feature to consider, as it highlights a potential for a very different customer experience. It is a reminder that while some clients have a great experience, others may encounter significant issues.

For residents of Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas, RRCA - Roofing & Reconstruction Contractors of America presents a mixed but potentially suitable option for their roofing needs, with the necessity for a high degree of caution and due diligence. Their suitability for some locals is rooted in their proven ability to handle complex insurance claims, as highlighted by a positive customer review that praises their responsiveness, effective communication, and quality workmanship. This expertise is a significant advantage in a state like Florida, where storm damage is a frequent concern. The review's mention of friendly and understanding staff also suggests a customer-centric approach that many people value. However, the presence of a very serious negative review, which alleges a six-month delay after a deposit was paid and a complete lack of communication, is a critical red flag that cannot be ignored. The customer's concerns about a potential "Ponzi scheme" warrant extreme caution from any potential client. Therefore, while RRCA has a track record of success for some clients, as demonstrated by the positive feedback, the negative review highlights a potential for significant risk. Locals considering this company should proceed with a thorough vetting process, including checking for up-to-date licensing, requesting and verifying multiple references, and carefully reviewing all contracts before making any financial commitment. By doing so, you can better protect yourself and ensure a positive outcome for your roofing project, whether you choose to work with RRCA or another contractor.

Oct 07, 2023 · Linda Ostrofsky---**Beware of RRCA- Possible Ponzi Scheme**I am writing to warn others about my negative experience with RRCA roofing . I paid a deposit in March with the promise that installation would start within 6 to 8 weeks. It has now been six months, and despite numerous excuses and false promises from the company, no installation has occurred. For the past three months, they have been unresponsive, ignoring calls and emails. I spoke directly with the owner, Lee Haight, two months ago, who assured me that installation would start the following week, but nothing has happened.Their salesperson Omer imrek has vanished as well .After conducting further research, it appears that this company may be operating a Ponzi scheme, collecting deposits without delivering services. I urge anyone considering working with this company to proceed with extreme caution.
Aug 31, 2024 · emre parsI saw this company on social media. I called and made an appointment. No one showed despite the fever I received a text message confirmation of the appointment. I called to see if anyone was coming and got voicemail off the office. Called the contractor Greg who was supposed to show, but I got his voicemail as well
Oct 30, 2023 · ReeseThey are not professional. There are better companies to choose from. Avoid them at all costs.
Oct 13, 2024 · John D'AmicoWhere to start! The entire team was extremely supporting throughout the entire process. They came by one day and offered a free inspection, submitted an entire report that was sent to my insurance company and 2 months later, I got a full roof replacement all paid for by my insurance company due to storm damages my roof had suffered last year. They were very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend them to any friend and family in need of ANY roofing services. RRCA is the way to go!
