For those in the Holiday, FL area, SunCare Roofing is one of the local companies you might encounter. Situated within the community, they have a history of providing roofing services to residents. When evaluating a contractor, it is crucial to consider a full picture of their performance, including both positive and negative experiences, to form a balanced view. This overview aims to provide you with a factual and informative look at SunCare Roofing, based on publicly available data and customer reviews, to help you understand their services and reputation. The information presented here is intended to be a resource for locals seeking to make a well-informed decision about their next roofing project, whether it's a new installation or a necessary repair. The goal is to provide a clear, engaging, and informative perspective on this local business, allowing you to weigh the various aspects of their service for yourself. This is an important step in any home improvement project, especially one as significant as a roof replacement or repair.
SunCare Roofing is a local presence in Holiday, with its address listed at 2020 Ardsley Ln, Holiday, FL 34690, USA. Its location within the community makes it easily accessible to residents in Holiday and the surrounding areas. The physical address provides a tangible point of contact for homeowners, which can be a key factor when selecting a contractor. Having a local company means they are more likely to be familiar with the specific building codes and climatic conditions of the region. This local insight can be beneficial for ensuring that the work is not only of high quality but also compliant with all local regulations. A company with a physical presence in the community often has a deeper commitment to the area and its residents. However, recent public records from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) indicate that the business is believed to be out of business, which is an important piece of information for potential customers. While the company’s address and phone number are provided, this recent development is something to consider when attempting to contact them. For those needing immediate service, this information is critical. It is always recommended to verify the current operational status of any business before beginning a project. This local perspective is crucial for Florida residents who rely on timely and reliable service, especially in emergency situations.
Based on available information, SunCare Roofing offered a range of services related to both residential and commercial roofing. A positive review highlights their work on a Florida bungalow, where they successfully removed two layers of existing roof and installed a new one. This demonstrates their capacity for handling extensive projects. Other sources indicate they handled various types of roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, traditional tile, natural slate, flat roofs, and metal roofing. They also offered roof repairs, new roof installation, and commercial roofing solutions. Their services were designed to address different needs, from a full roof replacement to routine maintenance and leak detection. The company also reportedly provided services for water repairs and shingle roof installs. It is important for homeowners to find a contractor who can work with the specific type of roof on their property and who has a track record of handling similar projects successfully. However, the negative customer review brings to light a potential issue with their project management, as the contractor reportedly continued a job with defective shingles. This specific incident raises questions about their quality control and communication during a project, which are important aspects to consider. It also mentions a leak in a skylight they installed, which the company allegedly failed to address under warranty, pointing to potential issues with post-installation service and communication. These are all critical factors that potential customers should be aware of when considering a roofing contractor.
Services Offered:
- Full roof replacement and new installation
- Roof repair for leaks and damage
- Installation of asphalt shingle, tile, flat, and metal roofs
- Residential and commercial roofing services
- Water damage repairs
- Expert roof leak detection
Based on the available customer reviews, SunCare Roofing's features and highlights present a mixed picture. A positive review praised Craig and his team for their professionalism, punctuality, and efficiency, noting that they were "true to their quote" and finished the job quickly. The customer was also impressed with their work on a Florida bungalow, and even their neighbors took notice. This highlights a strength in their on-site execution and project management, at least in this instance. The negative review, however, brings up several significant concerns that serve as important highlights for potential customers to consider. A key highlight from this review is the issue with quality control, as the company reportedly installed shingles that were defective with tar from the manufacturer. The customer also pointed out a lack of communication from the company regarding this issue, stating that no one said a word when questioned. Furthermore, the review details a breakdown in their warranty service, where the company allegedly failed to respond to multiple calls and voicemails about a leak in a replaced skylight. This indicates a potential problem with their post-job customer support and integrity. Another point raised was a questionable request to be paid before a warranty decision was made, which the customer felt would have removed their leverage. This information collectively paints a picture of a company with both commendable and concerning aspects to its service, and it is crucial for locals to be aware of both when making a decision.
Features / Highlights:
- Positive feedback on professionalism and timely project completion
- Reported issues with quality control and material usage
- Mixed experiences with communication, both during the job and for follow-up warranty claims
- Apparent lack of response for warranty services and repairs
- Expertise in a variety of roofing materials and project types
- Positive feedback on on-site crew work and efficiency

In conclusion, for residents in the Holiday area of Florida, the decision of which roofing contractor to hire is a significant one. SunCare Roofing, based on the available information, presents a mixed record. While a positive review highlights professional, timely, and high-quality work that impressed even neighbors, a negative review raises serious concerns about material quality, communication, and post-installation warranty service. This contrast in customer experience is a critical piece of information for any local resident. The BBB's report that the company is believed to be out of business is also a crucial fact to consider before attempting to engage their services. Ultimately, a local homeowner’s choice in a roofing contractor should be based on a thorough investigation of all available data. While some customers had a great experience, others faced significant challenges that could not be resolved, which is a major red flag. By reviewing this information, locals can make a more informed decision and prioritize companies with a consistent track record of reliability, integrity, and excellent customer service. This is particularly important in Florida, where a roof is not just an asset but a vital safety feature for every home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1AVOID SUNCARE ROOFING AND GAF SHINGLESWhen I called Sun care, they were a fairly new company, but after talking with Craig, we thought we'd give them a chance. When the job started, I got up on the roof just to see how the work was going I saw a bunch of black spots which I thought were tar paper laying around and asked if they would blow that off. No one said a word.Once the job was finished and I give credit to Craig on this, he said those black spots were actually tar from the manufacturer (GAF). Evidently, the machine producing the shingles spit tar over at least 80% of the shingles. So the check was withheld. GAF came out the next day and said oh we have to warranty this. Seriously??? The job was just finished. Why couldn't they redo the roof if they knew it was their error.Long story short, almost 3 months later we finally got the money for the warranty and did pay off Suncare. However, if they knew that there was tar all over the shingles, why the heck did they continue with the job? Again, crickets! Also, during the interim of the warranty process his brother tried to talk us into paying them off before a decision was made on the warranty which would've left us with no leverage, which made no sense. Of course I denied that request.Move forward 2 1/2 years later, we noticed a leak in our skylight which they did replace as part of the roofing job. I called them several times and never received a word back on Suncare repairing the skylight as part of our warranty. They never picked up the phone or returned any of our voice messages. All it needed was some resealing and they couldn't even answer or return my call? Really?? We ended up having to have another company come out and repair it. I recently had some extensive back surgery and there was no way I could get up on the roof and do it myself. Thanks again, Suncare!I'm not sure if they're out of business, but maybe they should be. I would seriously stay as far away from this company as possible. What a terrible company no integrity at all.
Dec 03, 2024 · Chris WilliamsonSunCare did a fantastic job. They removed 2 layers of existing roof and put a new roof on my Florida bungalow. The were true to their quote, showed up on time and finished the job quickly. Even my neighbors were impressed with their work. Craig and his team were terrific! Highly recommend.
Apr 18, 2022 · Alison LescarbeauWhat a great company. After looking through reviews, I contacted SunCare Roofing to repair leaks in my sunroom. Not just a leak, it was a leak in several areas that others could not find. They actually came out the very next day to look at the roof and scheduled the repair for the following day. They did such a great job and were so affordable, quick and efficient. I am truly thankful I called SunCare for their services.
Aug 18, 2021 · Carol IrelandThe Suncare roofing team did an entire roofing replacement. The crew was professional, polite, on time. They went above and beyond our expectations and did an amazing job. After the job was done a crew team member called to make sure we had no problems. Of course everything was perfect. I would recommend Suncare roofing for any roofing needs. They’re the best around!
Sep 11, 2020 · Trisha HyattWe had our roof replaced by SunCare this past week. The owners are very nice and will explain things thoroughly. The job was completed in a timely manner and the cost was very competitive. So far we are happy with the results and it passed inspection right away with no concerns. I would recommend giving them a call.
