American RoofMasters Introduce
In the coastal city of Torrance, California, a reliable and well-maintained roof is a homeowner's first line of defense against the elements. The Southern California climate, with its intense sun and occasional rainfall, requires a durable roofing system and a trustworthy contractor to install and maintain it. Finding a roofing company that delivers on its promises, provides clear communication, and ensures lasting results is a top priority for local residents. American RoofMasters, located in Torrance, is one of the businesses in the region that offers roofing services. This article aims to provide a factual overview of the company, based on available public information, including their location, contact details, and a summary of customer feedback, to help locals make an informed decision.
American RoofMasters has a presence in the Torrance community, offering what they describe as expertise in roof maintenance and repair. Their focus on these specific areas is a key aspect of their business model. As with any service-based company, their reputation is built on the experiences of their clients. While some businesses may highlight their long-standing history and A+ ratings with organizations like the Better Business Bureau, customer reviews often offer a more direct insight into the day-to-day operations and service quality. According to some client feedback, the company has faced challenges with communication, responsiveness, and a lack of modern business practices like providing invoices or using email. One customer’s experience highlighted a situation where maintenance repairs costing a significant amount of money did not resolve the initial leak, and the subsequent explanation and recommendation for a new roof left them feeling unsatisfied. This feedback suggests that while the company may brand itself as a top-tier provider, some customers have experienced service that fell short of their expectations.
The company is based at 3525 Lomita Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505, USA. This location is situated within a commercial area of Torrance, making it accessible for clients in the South Bay region. For residents in nearby communities, this proximity could be a convenience for arranging consultations or service calls. A local address can also be an indicator of a company's commitment to serving its immediate community. However, a local presence does not always guarantee a superior customer experience. As one customer noted, despite being a repeat client, they did not feel prioritized and found it difficult to get a hold of the company, which is a significant point of concern for anyone with a pressing roofing issue.
American RoofMasters specializes in specific roofing services, particularly roof repairs and maintenance. Unlike companies that focus on large-scale new installations, their business model appears to be centered on preserving and fixing existing roofing systems. This specialization can be a benefit for homeowners who only need a targeted repair rather than a full replacement. However, the effectiveness of these repairs is a critical point of concern for some clients, as a repair that fails to solve the initial problem can lead to further frustration and expense.
Services Offered:
- Roof Maintenance: The company focuses on preventative and routine maintenance to extend the life of a roof. This can include minor repairs, cleaning, and inspections to catch problems before they become major issues.
- Roof Repairs: A core part of their service is addressing leaks and other forms of damage. According to their website, they have extensive experience in tracking and fixing leaks that other contractors might miss.
- Waterproofing: The company also offers basic waterproofing services to help protect buildings from water damage.
- Specialization in repairs: Unlike companies that do new roof installations, American RoofMasters focuses exclusively on repairs and maintenance. This is an important distinction for potential clients to consider, especially if their needs involve a complete roof replacement.
Features / Highlights:
- Local Torrance Presence: The company’s address in Torrance provides a local option for residents in the South Bay area.
- Focus on Repairs and Maintenance: American RoofMasters specializes in specific services, which could be appealing to clients who only need a targeted fix rather than a full replacement.
- Long History: The company’s website states they have been in business since 1983, which suggests a long-standing presence in the industry.

For locals in California, particularly those in the Torrance area, the process of selecting a roofing contractor requires careful consideration. A company’s public-facing information, such as its stated mission and years in business, provides one perspective. However, real-world customer experiences, which highlight issues with communication, follow-through, and the quality of repairs, offer another crucial viewpoint. The suitability of American RoofMasters for a local resident will depend on their specific needs and how they weigh these different sources of information. For any home or business owner in the region, it is always recommended to perform thorough due diligence. This includes reviewing a contract carefully, ensuring all promised work is clearly documented, and establishing a reliable communication method with the contractor. Given the significant investment involved in roofing work, a clear understanding of the company's practices and a high level of trust are essential for a successful project.
While the company may serve the Torrance community, prospective clients should carefully consider all available information, including the details from customer reviews, to make a decision that best suits their needs. The availability of multiple contractors in the area gives consumers the ability to choose a company that aligns with their expectations for professionalism, reliability, and quality of work.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very disappointed with this roofing company. They say that are the best of the best but they are hard to get a hold of, they don't use modern technology to communicate (no email, always voice messaging), no invoices, etc and just all talk an no follow through. I paid alot of money to do some maintenance repairs and after 12 months (of no rain) it finally rained and the same exact leaks reappeared. They put Russell on the job and I don't think he is very good. After they charged me $8,500, they told me the next year that it was due to earthquakes and bad weather and that now I had to get a new roof and referred me to a new roofing company. Very unsatisfied and just a bunch of BS. I am never using them again. They talk about how if you are a customer once, then you are ahead of the line but no change. So hard to find a good roof maintenance company. Gave them additional chances and just get the same level of service and always saying they are so busy. No priority. Just decided to use someone else now that is more reliable and trustworthy. I don't even have a copy of my invoice.

Feb 11, 2025 · Ki Yom🚨 Not Recommended – Caution When Hiring This ContractorI hired American Roofmasters for roof leak repairs, but the experience was disappointing. There was no written contract, and they collected an excessive deposit beyond California's legal limit. I also paid for a full roof inspection but never received the promised report or photos, even though their website claims to provide them. The original leaks were never addressed, and the contractor changed the job scope verbally instead of documenting it in writing. Instead of fixing the leaks, they did minimal, unrelated maintenance work that did not solve the issue. After the fact, I discovered their actions violated California Business & Professions Code §7159, which protects consumers from these exact situations. This was not just an oversight—it was a pattern.⚠ Key Issues:No Written Contract (Required for jobs over $500).Excessive Deposit (Beyond California’s legal limit).Paid for a Roof Inspection – No Report or Photos Provided.Minimal, Unrelated Work Performed Instead of Fixing Leaks.Avoided Written Communication – Claimed Email "Wasn’t Working" for Months.Questionable Online Reviews – Many Seem Suspicious or "Not Recommended" by Yelp.📌 Consumer Warning: Always verify a contractor’s license on CSLB, check deposit limits, get everything in writing, and require before-and-after photos. Don’t just rely on star ratings—look deeper.Would not recommend.
