Owner is very unprofessional. How does it take 5 months to fix a roof? Only this company knows why. They will short you & never come out to fix anything. They love to come when you are not home so they can sneakily get pictures of work they have half ass did, too submit to insurance. We literally had shingles fly off our roof two days after they were supposedly done! It’s never the same person you speak with & some barely speak English. This is only a problem as “Nick” the owner tells them one thing & we are told another. We are now coming home to random people working on our house & on the roof months after it’s “done”. They come in unmarked cars so we have no idea who they are! As a woman it’s scary having a random man climbing on your roof! Do yourself a favor & save your insurance check. As I’ve reported this company to the BBB, and also informed several insurance company’s of this scam. We never got a bill & Nick gave the run around to our insurance company as well. Insurance is opening an on going investigation. The workers will inform you as well how twisted their boss is & how everything is done “under the table”. - Mia Tyler

Aspen Contracting, Inc. Introduce

For residents of Omaha, Nebraska, and the surrounding communities, the process of finding a reliable roofing contractor is a crucial one. A roof is your home's primary defense against our state’s harsh and often unpredictable weather, from severe hailstorms to strong winds. The choice of who to trust with your home's exterior can have a significant impact on your peace of mind and the long-term protection of your property. This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of Aspen Contracting, Inc., based on publicly available information and customer experiences, to help local users make an informed decision.

Aspen Contracting, Inc. is a company with a presence in Omaha, offering a range of services related to roofing and exterior home care. As a contractor, their role is to provide solutions for homeowners dealing with everything from routine maintenance to storm damage. It is important for homeowners to thoroughly research any company they are considering hiring, and this article is designed to assist in that process by presenting the available data in a structured, easy-to-read format. We will examine their services, location, and the nature of their customer interactions as reported in online reviews.

Finding a contractor who is not only skilled but also professional and communicative is a common priority for many people. In the contracting industry, the quality of a company’s work and its ethical practices are paramount. Customer reviews often provide the most direct insights into these aspects. One homeowner's review of their experience with Aspen Contracting, Inc. highlights several concerns, including a lengthy project timeline, allegations of unprofessional conduct by the owner, and issues with communication and transparency. These concerns, including reports of a project taking five months to complete and suspicions about the way work was documented for insurance, are important considerations for anyone seeking a contractor. The review also mentions shingles flying off the roof just two days after the job was supposedly finished, suggesting potential issues with the quality of the work.

The review also brings up challenges with communication, noting that the homeowner spoke with different people who gave conflicting information, and that some workers allegedly had limited English proficiency, making it difficult to resolve misunderstandings. The customer also expressed feeling scared and uncomfortable with "random people working on our house" who arrived in unmarked cars. These are all critical points for a homeowner to consider when evaluating a contractor’s professionalism and trustworthiness.

Aspen Contracting, Inc. has an office located in Omaha, Nebraska, at 4089 S 84th St, Omaha, NE 68127, USA. A local presence can be an advantage for homeowners, as it may suggest a company is readily available to respond to service calls and is familiar with the specific needs of the region. However, as noted in the provided review, a physical address does not always guarantee a smooth or straightforward experience, especially when issues with communication and project management arise.

While a company’s accessibility is a key factor, the manner in which they interact with clients is equally, if not more, important. The review mentions a lack of communication regarding the project's status and the timing of a bill, which could be a source of significant frustration for a homeowner. The review also alleges that the owner, referred to as "Nick," provided conflicting information to the customer and their insurance company, leading to an ongoing investigation by the insurance provider. This points to potential challenges in the company’s business practices that local users should be aware of.

The convenience of a local office is a positive aspect for many homeowners, but it must be weighed against other factors like the company's reputation for project management and customer service. The review suggests a disjointed process where the homeowner felt a lack of control and clarity, despite the company's local proximity. For a homeowner in Nebraska, where storm damage is a common occurrence, the ability to rely on a contractor for clear communication and professional service is essential, especially when insurance claims are involved.

Based on the available public information, Aspen Contracting, Inc. offers a range of services typical of a roofing contractor. However, the customer review provides a critical perspective on the execution of those services.

Services Offered (as typically expected of a roofing contractor):

  • Roof Repair and Replacement: A contractor typically provides services to repair damaged roofs and install new ones, using materials like asphalt shingles. The review, however, raises questions about the quality and durability of the work, noting that shingles flew off the roof shortly after a project was considered "done."

  • Storm Damage Restoration: Given Nebraska’s climate, storm damage repair is a key service. The customer review, however, alleges that the company’s work was "half ass did" and that the owner was difficult to work with during the insurance claim process.

  • Insurance Claim Assistance: Many contractors work with homeowners and insurance companies to facilitate claims. The review suggests that this process was particularly problematic with Aspen Contracting, with the owner allegedly giving the "run around" to the insurance company, leading to an ongoing investigation.

  • Siding and Gutter Services: While not explicitly mentioned in the negative review, these services are often part of a roofing contractor's offerings. It is important for homeowners to research a company's reputation for all the services they might require.

The experience described in the review suggests that the delivery of these services was far from ideal. The homeowner was left feeling that the work was incomplete and that the company was not acting in their best interest, a significant concern for anyone considering a major home repair project.

The features and highlights of a business are often what draw customers in, but the real-world experience is what truly defines a company's reputation. The provided review offers a stark contrast to what a customer would hope for in a contractor.

Features / Highlights (as reported by a customer):

  • Unprofessional Conduct: The owner, referred to as "Nick," is described as "very unprofessional." This includes allegations of giving conflicting information and being difficult to work with.

  • Lack of Communication and Transparency: The homeowner reported issues with inconsistent communication from different representatives, making it difficult to track the project's progress. There were also allegations of workers showing up unannounced in unmarked cars, which created a feeling of insecurity.

  • Questionable Work Quality: The review states that shingles came off the roof just two days after the job was "done." This suggests potential issues with the quality of materials or installation.

  • Allegations of Fraudulent Practices: The review mentions that the company allegedly took pictures of "half ass did" work to submit to the insurance company and that the owner gave the insurance company the "run around." The customer also reported this to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and is aware of an ongoing investigation by the insurance company.

  • Lengthy Project Timeline: The review highlights an extremely long project duration, with the roof taking five months to fix. This is an unusual and concerning timeframe for a roofing project.

These reported experiences highlight significant potential red flags for anyone considering this company for their roofing needs. The review alleges a pattern of behavior that is not in line with the standards of professionalism and trust that homeowners expect from a contractor.

For those seeking to contact Aspen Contracting, Inc. for more information or to inquire about their services, the provided contact details are as follows.

Contact Information:

  • Address: 4089 S 84th St, Omaha, NE 68127, USA

  • Phone: (877) 784-7663

This contact information can be used to reach the company, but it is always recommended that potential customers conduct their own thorough research, including checking for recent reviews, BBB ratings, and other public records, before committing to a project.

In conclusion, for local residents in Nebraska, the suitability of any contractor is defined by their reputation for professionalism, quality, and integrity. While Aspen Contracting, Inc. has a local presence in Omaha, a critical review from a homeowner brings to light several serious concerns regarding their business practices. The review alleges unprofessional conduct by the owner, a lack of transparency, questionable work quality, and an unacceptably long project timeline. These issues, combined with reports of an ongoing insurance investigation and a BBB complaint, suggest a level of risk that homeowners should be aware of.

The experience described is a cautionary tale about the importance of due diligence when selecting a contractor. For anyone in the Nebraska region, it is crucial to choose a company with a proven track record of positive customer experiences, clear communication, and high-quality workmanship. The review provided serves as a valuable piece of information for local users to consider as they make decisions about their roofing and home exterior needs.
