- **Customer Service Issues (Negative Feedback):** Conversely, a separate customer reported significant dissatisfaction regarding an outdoor shed installation, alleging issues such as damaged, incomplete, and dangerous work, the use of inappropriate tools (a high-speed drill on plastic parts), and a failure to properly clean up and remove all agreed-upon garbage.

## What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a contractor in the competitive New York market involves weighing factors like service range, project outcomes, and professional conduct. For property owners considering IBM CONTRACTING GROUP INC., the choice may depend on the specific project and an assessment of the company’s capabilities versus past performance. The primary advantages appear to be their **wide scope of work** (general, roofing, and flooring), which is highly beneficial for multi-faceted renovations, and their reported ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively, as experienced by one satisfied remodeling client. That client described them as "the best contractor Contracting construction company" and highly recommended them for both residential and commercial projects.
However, potential clients must be aware of the serious quality control and customer service concerns raised by another detailed customer review. This review cited examples of allegedly shoddy workmanship, disregard for proper installation techniques for certain materials, failure to adhere to the contract regarding garbage removal, and an apparent reluctance to acknowledge or correct major deficiencies in the finished work. This suggests that while they may excel in certain areas, the consistency of quality and the standard of follow-through may vary significantly between projects or teams.
As a local New York-based contractor, IBM CONTRACTING GROUP INC. presents an option with diverse capabilities. Prospective clients are advised to use the provided contact information to discuss their project needs, request references specific to their type of work (e.g., roofing or shed installation), and carefully review contract terms regarding quality assurance, cleanup, and dispute resolution to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
The company's commitment to delivering results that align with the positive testimonial—where work was kept on schedule and within budget—must be balanced against the necessity of avoiding the severe issues of poor installation and alleged contractual disputes documented in the negative feedback. Ultimately, the decision to choose IBM CONTRACTING GROUP INC. should be an informed one, leveraging their broad contracting categories while mitigating the potential risks highlighted by previous customers.

IBM CONTRACTING GROUP INC. Reviews
Terrible experience with IBM Contracting and it's front man, Sam. I needed a new shed installed in a backyard along with a platform so it's off the ground. I contacted IBM via Yelp, and was assured this was work they have done many times. Sam picked up a deposit, we went over the job, and everything was set for the following Saturday.Since this is outdoor work, Sam called and changed the date to a weekday when the weather was supposed to be better. I do not like having work done when I am not around, but I agreed since this was just before Thanksgiving and scheduling was difficult. The shed to be installed was a Resin 8' x 10' model from Home Depot, one of their best sellers in fact, and a model Sam claimed to be familiar with. However, what I was left with was damaged, incomplete, and dangerous. Please see all the pictures attached.I found missing nuts and bolts, missing screws, missing structural supports all over the place, misaligned panels and parts, and whatever was supposed to snap together was forced until it cracked. I was left with a pile of "spare" parts and screws all over the floor of the shed. As you can see in the pictures, the roof was not even properly attached to the walls. The instruction manual that came with this shed is actually pretty good, and includes a very decent amount of detail and illustration. It was surprising to find so many steps done backwards or skipped over completely. This shed was one wind or rain storm away from falling apart completely, potentially injuring anyone inside it, or causing damage to the rest of the property.During my 8+ hours of attempting to salvage this shed, I also discovered the majority of the hardware that did get installed, was either cracked or stripped. Whoever was doing the work used a high speed drill with no torque adjustment... on PLASTIC PARTS! You would think this would be common sense to a contracting company. To top it all off, I was also left a gigantic pile of garbage. All loose, on a windy day, dragged over to the opposite side of the building. Sam later informed me that even though we discussed and my contract states "Contractor will haul and remove ALL garbage." - since the shed was provided by the customer and not his company, the customer is responsible for removing the garbage it created. I suppose I am also responsible for all the wood scraps, spare hardware, and lunch containers that were left on my property. The platform that was built looks OK, but I really have no way to tell. I can only see the corners, and I would not be surprised if it was as shoddy as the rest of the job. When Sam came by to collect his check I brought ALL this to his attention, and he seemed to find nothing wrong with it. As far as he was concerned his job was complete and he should be paid. All the parts left on the floor were either "spare" or "manufacturer defects". I was told all my issues were the manufacturers fault, and his company could not be blamed. Even after he admitted his men were forcing things together until they snapped, or could not figure out how certain parts were supposed to come together. If you are looking for quality work and attention to detail, keep looking. You will find neither with this company.
Dec 03, 2016 · Alex PereiraFirstly, I recommend IBM CONSTRUCTION Company highly enough for any level of residential and commercial construction and remodeling services. We recently used IBM CONSTRUCTION to remodel the steps and a portion of the roof in our home and have been delighted with the both the process and the results. I also really appreciated how hard they all worked towards keeping the remodel on schedule and with in our budget. IBM CONSTRUCTION is the best contractor Contracting construction company and I will definitely be calling him for any sort of renovations in future.
