- Project Consultation and Bidding: Phoenix Roofing participates in the competitive bidding process, allowing homeowners to compare their bids with other local contractors. This provides a transparent way for customers to assess their pricing and value.
- Working with Homeowners: The team is receptive to homeowner concerns and questions during the installation process, ensuring that the customer feels included and informed every step of the way.
- General Roof Installation: They are skilled in the general installation of roofs, with their teams taking the time and effort to complete the job meticulously, as evidenced by a crew of five taking 13 days to complete a 30+ square roof.
Based on the provided customer feedback, the features and highlights of Phoenix Roofing's service can be summarized as a blend of strengths and areas for improvement. This offers a factual and balanced perspective on what to expect when working with them. These are the key highlights and considerations:
- Meticulous and Un-Rushed Craftsmanship: A major highlight is their un-rushed approach to installation. Unlike some companies that might prioritize speed, Phoenix Roofing takes the time necessary to complete the job, which can give homeowners peace of mind that the work is being done thoroughly.
- Pleasant and Receptive Team: Customers found the owner, Dan, and another team member, Ron, to be pleasant to work with and receptive to their concerns during the installation. This open communication is a key factor in a successful project.
- Willingness to Correct Issues: A positive aspect of their service is their willingness to address and correct any shortcuts or oversights once they are pointed out by the customer. This demonstrates a commitment to ensuring the final product meets the customer's expectations and industry standards.
- Potential for Post-Payment Communication Gaps: A significant consideration for potential customers is the reported lack of communication after final payment has been made. This highlights the importance of having all agreements, especially those regarding additional services, in a written contract.
- Competitive and Negotiable Pricing: The company is open to negotiation during the bidding process, which can be a great benefit for homeowners who are trying to get the best value for their investment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I put an expensive roof on my house, around $1000/square. Had 7 companies bid the job, then negotiated Phoenix close to the average and hired them.On the good side they took their time, ~5 guys 13 work days to complete 30+ squares. So I felt like I got my money's worth and that they didn't just rush through my job. One alternate company bid included only 8 guys for 3 days.On the bad side I had to request they redo some flashing that wasn't up to industry standards, but they did a fine job correcting their shortcut once I pointed out that I was watching closely. At a price tag over $30k I expected nothing but the best in all the hidden work (which is where roofs leak). I hope I didn't overlook any other shortcuts that may have been taken. Also, I had a verbal agreement with Dan the owner that he would sub-contract the gutter guards I wanted and bill me his cost. This would save me roughly 50% the cost compared to me contracting it directly. Now that Dan has my final payment for the roof install, no-one is returning my messages concerning the gutter guards. So I would rate customer service after final payment as non-existent.During the install, Dan and Ron were pleasant to work with and receptive to my concerns.

The staff members were very courteous, professional, and respectful , to ensure that I was 100% satisfied with my new roof. In addition to my new roof, Dan's crew did an AMAZING job bringing my chimney back to life! Based on the integrity of their work ethics alone, I would highly recommend HANDS DOWN.

Apr 25, 2019 · Tina TodaroI chose Phoenix for a new roof because I needed a company that was going to do the job right while being reasonably priced.During the estimate, they pointed out the root cause of why my roof was failing early (prior installer cut the shingles incorrectly which allowed water to leak in my soffits). The estimate came in very reasonable. I felt comfortable choosing them since they've been around since 1992 and because they have a great reputation in our area. When the big day came they showed up on time and did everything that was promised while offering a great warranty. The roof looks great! They made sure not to ruin my landscaping and cleaned up everything (no nails in the grass or driveway). Would definitely refer them to anyone wanting a great price, quality and service.

Sep 25, 2018 · S HopkinsHad Dan come out and give me an estimate on my roof repair. We worked on the price, and I agreed to purchase all of the material and rent the dumpster to get the price down. He said he would call in a few days to get it scheduled with me. In the meantime, I ordered all of the material. 2 weeks later I haven't heard from him. I've called the office and left messages and tried Dan's cell as well. Now I am stuck with the material, or trying to take it back and finding another roofer to do it. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here..Update: Dan did get ahold of me after I emailed him. He said there was a new girl working in the office. The cell I had was not correct. He made it right and scheduled the roof.

Apr 16, 2018 · mike porterI would give Dan and his company NO STARS. We contracted him last November 2017 and gave a $950 deposit . Chose shingles and gutters ect. Had to make new choice for gutters ect.in the summer. It is now a year after our contract. No roof and not heard a word from phone callswe made in the fall. We emailed 2 weeks ago and got a response and a promise to refund our deposit. Not heard anything or received a check. The sad part is 25 yrs ago we had our house and barn roofed by this company so we believed they were trust worthy.
