Based on general industry practices and publicly available information, a company like Roof America is expected to offer a variety of services to meet the diverse needs of their clients.
Roof Installation and Replacement: They would handle new roof installations for new construction projects and full replacements for older, worn-out roofs. They likely work with a range of materials, including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and other common systems.
Roof Repair: From fixing minor leaks to addressing significant damage, they would specialize in diagnosing and repairing issues efficiently to extend the life of a roof and prevent interior damage.
Storm Damage Services: Given Georgia's weather, they would be well-versed in handling storm, wind, and hail damage. This would include conducting thorough inspections and assisting with the insurance claims process to make it as smooth as possible for the homeowner.
Commercial Roofing: Their services would likely extend beyond residential properties to include commercial roofing systems, providing repairs, maintenance, and full replacements for businesses.
Gutter and Siding Work: Many roofing contractors offer supplementary services such as gutter and siding work to ensure the complete exterior envelope of a property is well-protected and aesthetically pleasing.
A contractor's reputation is built on a range of factors, from the quality of their work to the way they handle communication and customer concerns. While one customer's experience with a company called "APF Roofing" praises their professional approach and thoroughness, another customer's experience with Roof America raises serious concerns about the quality of the work and the potential for long-term issues.
Customer Satisfaction and Quality: As highlighted in one review, some clients have had positive experiences with other contractors who took the time to explain the process and use high-quality materials. Conversely, a review about Roof America points to a serious issue of missing flashing and subsequent water damage, leading to a strong recommendation to avoid the company. This highlights the importance of checking reviews for specifics on quality control and post-installation issues.
Project Transparency: The positive review mentions a contractor who provided a detailed breakdown of the work and material samples. This level of transparency is a key highlight that builds trust. The negative review for Roof America, on the other hand, suggests a lack of proper installation procedures, which could indicate a lack of transparency or oversight during the project.
Pricing and Value: The review for the other contractor notes that they were not the cheapest, but the quality of work was worth the price. This reinforces the idea that "you get what you pay for" in the roofing industry. The negative review for Roof America, while not directly commenting on pricing, implies that the initial cost was not a true reflection of the long-term value, given the subsequent damages.

Choosing a roofing contractor is a critical decision for any homeowner or business owner in Georgia. While the need for a local, accessible, and knowledgeable team is clear, it is equally important to vet contractors thoroughly. The provided information highlights that while a company may be physically present in a community, the quality of their work can vary significantly. The review for Roof America points to a serious concern regarding craftsmanship, specifically the omission of flashing, which led to significant damage. This underscores the necessity of not only considering a contractor's proximity and service offerings but also their track record of delivering on their promises and performing high-quality work.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BUYER BE WARE!!! I cannot give them the review I wanted to. We got our Roof replaced the summer of 2023. We thought they did a great job from the looks of it. However, a lightening incident shined light on their mistake. Seeing how it has been 2 years since the work was done, there is 2 years of damage and rain water coming in unknown to us. No Flashing was put on our roof. There is a big separation in our roof and soft spots due to their negligent actions. This is not the company you want to use.
Jul 23, 2025 · Ollishia HillI had 4 companies come out and give quotes on my new roof. Paul from APF Roofing was the only one who actually took the time to break down everything that needed to be done and gave a packet with samples of materials that would be used. They weren’t the cheapest but the saying “you get what you pay for” is the truth. The roofers were professional and clean up after themselves. I’m very happy with the quality of work APF Roofing did for my home. Highly recommended.
Nov 05, 2022 · Clarence PrimmEXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!THEY WILL CONSTANTLY THREATEN YOU ABOUT PUTTING A LIEN ON YOUR HOUSE!I'm not sure how to explain it other than it was a Major Mistake choosing them to do my roof. They did not show up on the day scheduled to do my roof so I had to take an extra day off work to supervis. Great thing I did too because one of the workers nearly fell through my porch knocking ceiling panels down and destroying my outdoor ceiling fan. They didn't tell me even though I was sitting on site and put the panels back up in a hurry using a roofing nail gun. I'm still in the process of having it repaired properly billing it to them. The workers were hammering nails down so they could step on wood BELOW THE RAFTERS and my entire ceiling upstairs is covered with Pop Outs! I was told they weren't responsible because I was under contract. They will soon learn that I never signed the contract.I have had 3 other contractors provide estimates on the repairs of damages THEY CAUSED INSTALLING THE ROOF and nothing is under $15,000.I STRONGLY ADVISE USING SOMEONE ELSE!
Mar 15, 2023 · Jeffery ToddAPF Roofing did a great job on replacing my roof. Nana, Tyler, and Ryan were very professional and dedicated to delivering high quality and making sure I was happy with the results. As issues were found they kept me aware of what was going on each step of the way. They were very transparent and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone who may need their roof repaired or replaced. Meanwhile, I am enjoying my beautiful new roof with no leaks...
May 20, 2020 · Robert SykesPaul and Gabe first knocked on our door in early March 2020 after replacing a roof in our neighborhood after hail damage. I told them they are welcome to look but we recently closed a year long battle with our insurance for a new roof from storm damage in April of 2019, we lost and it was so frustrating having to get adjusters and attorneys to fight for us and still to be denied, but we knew we needed new roof. Gabe took tons of pictures and Paul suggested we ask the insurance for a reinspect with our new contractor present. We did so and were denied right off the bat, even with countless pictures of the damage.June 15, 2020 there was a mass hail storm in our area. I took multiple videos and called Gabe, who was able to come out THE NEXT DAY and do another inspection of all the new damage, he took pictures and i submitted our new insurance claim that day. Like i said our insurance company is horrible and i called a few times a week for updates and to make sure to keep things moving. Finally an someone called to come out and see the damage for themselves. The appointment was early one Monday and Gabe assured me he would be here. The insurance adjuster arrived about an hour early and told me that he was unable to get on our roof due to the steepness and he would have to arrange for a contracted company to come. I called Gabe and updated him, he was very understanding and worked with there schedule for the Ladders Now guy to come out, and trust me they changed that appointment time a handful of times that day and he arrived early and i asked him to wait for my contractor to arrive before his inspection, the guy was nice but Gabe explained to me what he was talking about and the man was shocked with his knowledge about the roof, damages and detail Gabe was point out. Still we had to wait.... and wait... and wait.... all the while Gabe checked in with me and I with him and the insurance company to keep everyone on the same page. Finally we were approved!!!!! They say it was a two week process but it felt like two years! I called Gabe and he came over to discuss our options and review the details and guidelines given by the insurance company. Our supplies were delivered on Monday and a van full of workers arrived early the next morning and we NOW HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROOF and if not for Gabe's constant encouragement and knowledge I know that would not have been possible!Throughout the process we learned that we knew some of the same people and had a lot of similarities, it gave us a sense of comfort being able to work with such a down to earth person, not just a salesman.I would HIGHLY recommend Gabe and his company to any and everyone needing a new roof, and we have family and friends that do roofing so i feel like that says more that we would recommend Gabe and his company.
