Choosing a local contractor often comes with the benefit of working with someone who understands the specific environmental challenges and building codes of the Georgia region. Roof Solutions LLC, with its office in Austell, is positioned to serve the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and beyond. However, as with any service provider, it is crucial for consumers to look beyond the surface and consider the experiences of previous clients. The roofing industry is one where the quality of work and customer service can vary, and a thorough review of public feedback is a key step in finding a contractor that aligns with your expectations. By examining the provided reviews, we can gain a clearer understanding of the company's strengths and areas for potential concern.
This overview is designed to be a factual and objective resource, consolidating publicly available information to give you a complete picture of Roof Solutions LLC. We will explore their location, the types of services they provide, and a summary of the feedback they have received from different customers, including both a commercial project manager and a general contractor. This kind of diverse feedback is particularly valuable as it offers different perspectives on the company's work, communication, and business practices. The goal is to provide you with a balanced view so you can confidently proceed with your research and decision-making process for your roofing needs.
Whether you are a homeowner with a leak, a business owner planning a major equipment replacement, or a general contractor looking for a subcontractor, understanding the full scope of a company like Roof Solutions LLC is the first step toward a successful outcome.
---Roof Solutions LLC is strategically located to serve the Austell, Georgia community and the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Their office is at 6871 Oak Ridge Commerce Way, Austell, GA 30168, USA. This location provides them with a central base of operations, enabling them to dispatch crews and resources efficiently to various job sites. For local customers, this physical presence is a significant advantage, as it often translates to quicker response times, particularly for urgent roofing needs or emergency repairs.
The accessibility of a roofing company is crucial. In a commercial context, as highlighted by one review, a local contractor's ability to be on-site quickly and be easy to work with can be a key factor in the success of a complex project. For homeowners, this proximity means that when a leak or storm damage occurs, a nearby professional can be on the way without significant delay. Roof Solutions LLC’s Austell address demonstrates their commitment to being a part of the local business community, building trust and familiarity with the residents and other businesses they serve.
---Roof Solutions LLC offers a variety of services, with a focus on both commercial and residential projects. The provided reviews highlight their work on a specialized commercial project, as well as their services for a general contractor. Here is a list of services they are known to provide:
- Commercial Roofing: As a subcontractor on a "Chiller Replacement project for the Grant Building in downtown Atlanta," they demonstrated expertise in complex commercial projects. This suggests they are equipped to handle large-scale jobs that require careful coordination and planning, particularly on occupied buildings.
- Roof Repair: The reviews indicate they perform roof repairs, including addressing leaks and replacing components like downspouts and conductor heads.
- Subcontractor Services: They work as a subcontractor for other companies, such as M&E Service Co. and general contractors. This shows their ability to collaborate with other professionals on larger projects.
- Equipment Handling: Their work on the Grant Building chiller replacement project shows they are capable of handling jobs that involve opening a roof to remove and install heavy equipment, a specialized task that requires careful planning and execution.
- Tarping and Emergency Services: The review from M&E Service Co. highlights their assistance in "building a water dam" and working with others to place "tarps and emergency pumps" during a stormy weekend. This demonstrates their capability in handling emergency situations and mitigating water damage.
- Residential Roofing: While one review focuses on commercial work, their business name and general contractor feedback suggest they also work on residential projects, handling everything from leak repairs to full replacements.
The public feedback for Roof Solutions LLC presents a complex and contrasting view of their business practices and customer relations. These insights offer valuable highlights and potential red flags for new customers.
- Commercial Project Success: The review from M&E Service Co. is a strong positive highlight. It notes that Roof Solutions was "very easy to work with and helpful" on a challenging project. Their ability to assist in building a "water dam" and keeping a building dry during a severe storm is a testament to their on-site expertise and problem-solving skills in high-stakes situations.
- Subcontractor Relations: A general contractor's review, however, raises significant concerns. It points to a breakdown in communication and a lack of accountability from the company's president, Matt, and his foreman, Ken. The key issue was an inaccurate bid that led to a loss of profit for the general contractor, with the company's leadership not taking responsibility for the oversight.
- Pricing and Communication Issues: The general contractor's review also details a conflict over pricing for a subsequent job in Commerce, GA. The company's proposed price was double the agreed-upon metro-area rate for a relatively small additional distance, and the president's response was described as dismissive and "gutless." This feedback highlights a potential lack of clarity in pricing and a difficult communication style.
- Professionalism vs. Customer Service: The reviews showcase a stark contrast. The M&E Service Co. review praises their professionalism and helpfulness on the job site. In contrast, the general contractor review criticizes the company's leadership for a lack of apology, consideration, and negotiation, leading to a complete breakdown in the working relationship.

---Roof Solutions LLC presents a complex case for locals in Georgia. On one hand, their demonstrated ability to perform complex commercial work as a subcontractor, as highlighted by the positive review from M&E Service Co., suggests they possess the technical skills and on-site capability to handle challenging projects. This makes them a potentially suitable partner for large-scale or specialized jobs where on-site performance is the primary concern.
On the other hand, the detailed review from the general contractor raises significant concerns about their business practices, particularly regarding communication, pricing transparency, and accountability. This feedback suggests that the customer experience, especially for ongoing professional relationships, may be fraught with challenges. For a local resident or business owner, this means that while the company might be capable of excellent work, it is absolutely essential to get a clear, detailed, and binding contract for any job. For those who prioritize clear communication, transparent pricing, and a strong partnership, a careful and thorough vetting process is advised. Ultimately, the suitability of Roof Solutions LLC for a local depends on a careful weighing of these contrasting experiences and a personal assessment of whether their potential benefits outweigh the reported risks.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Roofing Solutions was our subcontractor on a Chiller Replacement project for the Grant Building 44 Broad Street in downtown Atlanta. They were very easy to work with and helpful as we had to open the roof on this 10 story occupied building for several days to remove the old equipment and install the new. During a very stormy weekend of 3/9/19, with Roofing Solutions help we built a water dam from the existing roofing material and with a good job of our men placing tarps and emergency pumps we were able to perform this work and keep the water out of the building opening. May 15, 2019 · Mike RichMatt Robinson (President) and I met and agreed to work together. I am a GC and work with every major restaurant brand in ATL. Matt was as nice as he can be when I was sitting in front of him. He handled my first job and I paid him accordingly. The second job I asked him to complete his foreman and I met at the job. I was taking pictures and measurements of a different aspect of the job and foreman was measuring the downspouts that needed to be replaced. I was given a price and my customer signed the scope of work. 3 weeks later I get an email from Matt stating they needed another $500. I am quoting directly from Matt's email.... "I apologize but we didn't look at the job prior to giving you a budget price per your request. Ken said he met you at the store and you both looked at the conductor and saw the rust."The key point is this company's number one foreman (Ken) was at my job and completely missed the fact the conductor heads were rusted out and needed replaced. Then, Ken tried to throw me under the bus because he failed to go to his boss and clearly convey what was needed to complete the job properly OR Matt failed to compare the original quote with Ken's scope of work and modify the original quote to include the conductor heads. At no point was there any consideration of Matt biting the bullet since he or his foreman screwed up. It was either I go back to my customer and ask for more money which I was not going to do. Or, I eat the $500 and literally lose every bit of profit I had built into the job. Matt stepped up and settled for $400 so I only lost 80% of my profit. No apology... nothing. I told him I would eat the $400 because I wanted to maintain a good working relationship but any future issues regarding inaccurate/low bids would be his loss.... not mine.I contacted Matt last week for a new job. I had been out of state due to my father's death and the leak repair was a few days old. I spoke directly to Matt and asked him to "squeeze" the job into his schedule ASAP.Matt and I had an agreement that I would quote my customers a NTE amount of $800 to cover him sending 2 men to a job for half day. I agreed. It was my understanding that number was good throughout metro-ATL. My new job was in Commerce, GA which is outside the metro. He stated 80 miles from his shop. I expected a bigger NTE due to the additional mileage. Matt notified me he needed $1600 to go to Commerce.... DOUBLE to go an additional 30-40 miles. His email did not say NTE $1600.... just $1600 which seemed very high and DOUBLE THE EXISTING NTE amount and he agreed to go Tuesday, 5/14/19 and complete the repair.I replied back asking, "is that a NTE amount and if your guys are not on the roof but one hour are you still charging $1600"? Now remember, I just got screwed out of my profit $500 on the last job. Would you have not asked the same question to Matt? Find below his exact reply cut & pasted for your view:"I don't have time to try and negotiate the price on a $800 leak call that is 80 miles away while and also rearrange my crews' schedules to try and fit it in".My reply back to him is below literally cut/pasted from email to him: "I was not trying to negotiate. I am trying to accurately tell my customers what you will need to go do the work? I asked them to agree to $1000 NTE which they did. If you need more that is OK. I was just trying to get an idea what the distance/radius the $800 applied to and how much more I needed to ask for jobs farther out. I have already told them we were coming out. I have only asked you to do two jobs and do not understand why you are getting mad?"Matt did not return my call nor reply to my last email. I had to call my customer and explain I was trying to find a new roofing partner. I call this behavior "gutless". You can decide for yourself if you would work with someone with this character. I would never recommend this company to take your garbage out.
