A key part of their service is to help clients through the process, which can be complex and confusing, especially when dealing with insurance claims. By offering thorough consultations and aiming to provide expert guidance, they position themselves as a partner in home restoration. The company’s reputation, like any local business, is built on the experiences of its customers, and understanding these experiences is essential for anyone considering their services.
Capital City Exteriors is centrally located in St. Paul, making them well-positioned to serve the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. Their address is 1643 Dunlap St N, St Paul, MN 55108, USA. This location gives them a strategic advantage for providing timely and efficient service to residents throughout St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding communities. This local expertise is invaluable for ensuring that any work performed is not only compliant with regulations but also built to withstand the specific weather patterns of the region, from freeze-thaw cycles to high winds.
The services provided by Capital City Exteriors are designed to address a wide array of home exterior needs. While they are a roofing contractor, their expertise extends to other critical components of a home’s shell. This versatility is a key benefit for homeowners who may have multiple needs after a storm or due to general wear and tear.
Here is a detailed list of the services they offer:
- Roofing: This includes both complete roof replacements and targeted repairs. Whether a roof has aged out or has sustained damage from a storm, the company provides solutions using a variety of materials.
- Siding: They offer siding installation and repair. This is an important service, as damaged siding can lead to further issues with a home's structure and insulation.
- Storm Damage Restoration: Given Minnesota's weather, storm damage is a frequent reality. Capital City Exteriors specializes in assisting homeowners with this process, from initial damage assessment to working with insurance companies to ensure the home is properly restored.
- Gutters: Gutters are a vital part of a home’s water management system. The company handles gutter installation and repair, helping to protect the home’s foundation and landscaping from water runoff.
- Windows and Doors: For a complete exterior renovation, Capital City Exteriors also provides window and door replacement services, which can improve a home’s energy efficiency and curb appeal.

- Transparency in Quoting: The company is known for providing detailed quotes, with one customer highlighting that their bid included more detail than others they received. This transparency can help homeowners understand exactly what they are paying for.
- Varied Experiences with Communication: It is important for potential customers to be aware of the varied feedback regarding communication. While some customers have had positive experiences with responsiveness, other reviews highlight significant communication breakdowns, including a lack of follow-up on a promised estimate and unreturned calls. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a consultation that was lengthy and seemed thorough. We appreciated the insights offered. We were told we would receive an estimate in 1-2 weeks. We didn't receive. I wanted to be understanding if they got our email address wrong or something, so I sent an email to them after 2+ weeks. It's now been 2 months, and have gotten absolutely NO response. It's hard to trust a company that doesn't communicate back to you at all, especially when they're trying to earn your business.

Jun 19, 2025 · Anons AnonExcellent work done at an incredibly competitive price. Tom is easy to work with, his bid was detailed, and he was flexible with us when we decided to add (last-minute) some heating cable to our gutter bid. His team's gutter work has helped our drainage in the summer and should help our ice-dam problem in the winter.

Sep 20, 2019 · Thomas CrouseI had Capital City Exteriors install new gutters/covers; cover fascia and sofits. I couldn't be happier with the job done. The Owner, is a very, professional businessman and well as a hard, working meticulous laborer. His estimate was also, reasonable. I had four bids and I felt like, the Owner sold his company immediately! I highly, recommend - Five stars!J.F, St Paul
