A central location is often a key factor for local residents, as it suggests the company is well-positioned to serve the area efficiently, whether for routine service calls or urgent leak repairs. For residents of Temple Terrace and nearby areas, their physical presence offers a level of convenience and accountability.
Accessibility to a contractor is also measured by the ease of communication. Crown Roofing & Waterproofing can be reached by phone at (813) 399-0221 or their mobile phone, +1 813-399-0221. This provides local users with a direct line of contact to their team. This direct contact information, combined with their physical address, provides a foundational understanding of their operational footprint in the Florida market.
Based on the general nature of a roofing contractor and the reviews available, Crown Roofing & Waterproofing is likely to offer a range of services designed to address various roofing issues. While specific details of their service offerings can vary, the typical services of such a company in the Tampa area would include:
Roof Leak Repair: Addressing and fixing leaks is a primary service for any roofing company, especially in Florida where heavy rain is common. This service is crucial for preventing further water damage to the home's interior.
Roof Inspections: Offering inspections to assess the condition of a roof, identify potential problems, and provide estimates for repairs or replacement. This service is often a first step for homeowners concerned about their roof's age or recent storm damage.
Estimates for Roofing Projects: Providing detailed estimates for the cost and scope of work required for repairs or full roof replacements. This is a standard practice and a necessary part of the decision-making process for homeowners.
Emergency Services: While not explicitly stated, many roofing companies in Florida offer some form of emergency service to address urgent damage caused by storms or other unforeseen events.
The nature of these services is common across the industry. When evaluating any roofing contractor, it's important to ask for specifics on what they offer, what materials they use, and what their process is for a project from start to finish.
The public reviews provide insight into certain features and highlights of Crown Roofing & Waterproofing’s business practices, which can be viewed as both areas of strength and areas of concern from a local user’s perspective.
Responsiveness to Initial Inquiries: One customer noted that out of five companies contacted, Crown Roofing was the "only company to even return my call" for an estimate. This suggests that they may be responsive to initial inquiries, which is a crucial first step for anyone trying to get a project started. This is a positive feature for those who have struggled to get a response from other contractors.
Timely On-Site Visits: A review indicates that a representative came out to the customer's home to look at a roof leak. This shows that the company does conduct on-site visits to assess damage and gather information for estimates, a necessary part of the roofing process.
However, the reviews also highlight some practices that may be seen as concerning by local residents.
Cold Calling and Aggressive Sales Tactics: One review details an instance of cold calling late at night with inaccurate information about the property. The customer's strong reaction indicates that this is a practice that can be perceived as intrusive and unprofessional, especially in the home services industry.
Lack of Follow-Through: A customer reported that after an on-site visit for a leak estimate, the representative left without explanation and the company never followed up. This lack of communication and follow-through is a significant issue for a customer who is actively seeking a solution to a problem.
Inaccurate Information: The same review about the cold call noted that the representative provided multiple pieces of false information about the home’s roof age, which is a red flag for any potential customer.
These highlights provide a realistic and multifaceted view of the company's business practices, which is essential for a local homeowner to consider before engaging in a professional relationship.
For those who wish to contact Crown Roofing & Waterproofing in Tampa, the following information is available:
Address: 8802 Venture Cove B, Temple Terrace, FL 33637, USA
Phone: (813) 399-0221
Mobile Phone: +1 813-399-0221
This contact information can be used to inquire about their services, request an estimate, or follow up on a previous visit.
In conclusion, for locals in the Florida region, particularly in and around Tampa, the suitability of Crown Roofing & Waterproofing depends heavily on what a customer values most in a contractor. On one hand, they appear to be responsive to initial calls, a quality that is sometimes difficult to find in the busy home services market. On the other hand, the reviews highlight some significant concerns regarding their business practices, including cold calling and a reported lack of follow-up after an initial visit.
For a Florida resident, where a roofing contractor is a crucial partner in protecting their home, these factors are vital to weigh. The decision to hire a company should be based on a complete picture of their professionalism, reliability, and communication style. While they may be one of the few to return an initial call, the subsequent lack of communication and reported intrusive sales tactics might be deal-breakers for many homeowners. It is always recommended to perform thorough due diligence, ask for references, and get multiple estimates before committing to any roofing project. This is particularly important for a company where public feedback presents a mixed and complex picture of their services and customer interactions.

Crown Roofing & Waterproofing in Tampa Reviews
Called me at 830 at night saying they were in my neighborhood and alot of roofs had damage to them. Not true. We haven't even had any storms. The guy then proceeds to tell me my roof is 12 years old. House built in 2017. When I tell him no, he says we'll it's at least 10. Wrong again. Then he says ok we'll how old is. We'll our roof was actually replaced at the beginning of this year due to actual storm damage in late 2023. When I told him it's less than a year old he just hangs up. Be careful with this company as I am also in a home services industry and most companies cold calling home owners at 830 at night are looking to just be vultures. So Crown roofing this review is to let you know to put me on your do not call list. If you call me again I will contact my attorney. Also if anyone from crown roofing comes and knocks on my door I will contact police and have them trespassed from my property. I never contacted this company for any reason, have no idea how they got my information, and damn sure didn't ask for anyone to call me and ask how old my roof was. Horrible company, horrible business practice. Maybe do better work and you won't have to cold call people and ask how old the roof is.
Aug 28, 2024 · Sean SuppleRating them a 2 because of the 5 roofing companies that I called, they were the only company to even return my call. Needed an estimate for a roof leak were were experiencing. A nice gentleman came out 2 weeks ago, took a look around inside and outside our home and after about 15 minutes, he just left. Didn't say he was leaving and would be in contact or anything and we've not heard anything from them since.
Mar 22, 2019 · Kenanne BoveThey installed the roof on our new construction in 2015. They have been called out 5 times to fix the exact same area. They basically make it worse everytime and extort more and more money out of us. The person we communicate with via email is not helpful and nonsensical. The last email states there is no leak despite we literally have pictures and video of active leaking. We have had two other other roofing companies come look at the area and both DECLINED to help us since the initial install was "faulty" and "subpar craftsmanship" and they "couldnt sleep with my name on this mess"We have spent thousands trying to get the work fixed on a barely 6 year old roof!! Our builder apologized to us for using this company for our roof and that says it all about this company. They want more money to fix the leak they caused the last time they "fixed" it.We have decided to spend the money on littigation instead. Today a lawyer asked me if the emails I had him read were written by an elemnetary school child.Save yourself a headache, lots of money and home damage and use ANYONE else.
Aug 06, 2021 · Leann ValleEveryone needs to have that ONE roofer they can rely on, and I have found my ONE! Crown Roofing is absolutely phenomenal. They are honest, hardworking professionals. Their technicians have gone the extra mile any time I have asked for their assistance, whether it's before-and-after photos (that I didn't even have to ask for) or a detailed report on the life of a roof. Even the properties I manage have started to ask Crown Roofing's opinion first! Thanks, Ally, Nikki, and Brittany! You all rock!
