Green Mountain Falls Roofing & Commercial Roof Repair Introduce
Hello, Florida residents! Navigating the world of roofing contractors in a state known for its intense weather can be a challenge. When your home or business is in need of a new roof, a timely repair, or a full replacement, you need a contractor who is not only skilled but also reliable. That’s where Green Mountain Falls Roofing & Commercial Roof Repair comes into the picture. Based in New Port Richey, this company aims to provide roofing solutions for the local community, focusing on both residential and commercial needs.
Green Mountain Falls Roofing & Commercial Roof Repair is a local company that understands the specific demands of the Florida climate. They have experience in dealing with a wide range of roofing issues, from minor leaks to extensive storm damage. As one customer noted, they were able to come out and fix a roof just "2 days before closing," demonstrating their ability to provide quick and effective solutions under pressure. This kind of timely service is crucial in real estate transactions and other time-sensitive situations.
The company, and its staff, including an individual named Terks mentioned in a review, are credited with providing more affordable solutions compared to other companies. This is a significant benefit for anyone who is mindful of their budget and looking for a fair price. However, as some customer feedback indicates, there have been some communication and scheduling challenges. One returning customer expressed frustration after not receiving a promised call back, which suggests that follow-up communication can be an area where the company may have room for improvement. While the company's owner is reported to be busy, a prompt response, even if it's to say they are unable to take on a job, is a professional courtesy that many customers appreciate and expect. Despite these challenges, the company has a history of providing services that address customer needs, such as finding a leak and offering a temporary patch, which speaks to their technical knowledge and ability to provide a solution when they are engaged on a project.
Green Mountain Falls Roofing & Commercial Roof Repair is located at 4217 Grand Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652, USA. This location places them within the New Port Richey area, allowing them to serve the local community and surrounding regions with efficiency. Being a local business, they have a geographical advantage when it comes to responding to service calls, particularly in emergency situations. A local contractor can often get to your property faster than a company based farther away, which can be critical in preventing a small problem from becoming a large and expensive one.
The accessibility of a local contractor is an important consideration for homeowners and business owners alike. It means you can easily schedule a consultation, get a quick and localized estimate, and feel confident that the company is familiar with the common roofing issues in your area. While there may be some mixed experiences with communication, the convenience of having a local presence for in-person consultations and on-site work is a clear benefit. It allows for a more direct relationship with the professionals who will be working on your roof, offering a level of personal connection that can be reassuring during a major home or business improvement project.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They came out and fixed my roof 2 days before closing $325 cheaper than the next company that demanded cash. Thankful for Terks
Nov 28, 2018 · Zach PenningtonFacts: I used them twice for small jobs because I believe in hiring smaller local businesses. I no little about roofing, like most people. I had them come and give me an estimate for a small flat roof replacement, which was $800 more than their estimate 3 years ago. I decided to go ahead.I called and spoke to the receptionist 3 times. She promised to call me back within the hour when the owner arrived. That was thee weeks ago.If they had examined my roof more carefully the last time I would have replaced it earlier.I think it is simply a professional courtesy to return a call, even if you don’t want the job or are too busy. This is how they treat returning customers.I would never recommend them.
Feb 01, 2018 · Dimitri HernandezWhatever you do DO NOT use Terks Roofing. If possible, I would give them NEGATIVE STARS.A good reliable roofer in this area is Farrell roofing. In 2016, I had the misfortune of having a leak in a $10,000 roofing job done in 2011 that was a nightmare getting Terks to return to repair. We live in the Westwind model and is about 1850 ft.². Our original roof replacement in 2011 estimate was about $8500. Because the roof had two layers of shingles to be removed, we had a fair amount of rotted plywood. This added another $400 or $500 to the bill. It was then about $9000. Since the roof was opened while replacing the rotten plywood, they asked if we would want to install more insulation. We agreed and added $500 more to the cost. We also discovered we had bats in our chimney that caused rotting on the inside and down near their roof where it meets the chimney. This also added an additional $700 over and above just the roof cost. That is the background. Now the reason for my warning. We have roof solar panels to heat our hot water. When they reattached the existing solar panels to the roof (not the plumbing) on the area over the garage roof they missed the rafters and when they finally re-secured them correctly they neglected to seal the holes from the first attempt. Rain leaking in over five years and with the exceptionally heavy rain that we had this past spring and summer (2016) enough water came in over the garage and caused a 4 x 8 section of my garage ceiling sheetrock to collapse barely missing my car. After the garage ceiling area collapsed I was able to see a small round hole where I saw the sky. There were actually 4 but only could see 1. This is how I discovered that they had originally failed to secure the solar panels back correctly. I had a leak in my roof over the garage for five years. After almost 10 unreturned phone calls (leaving answering machine messages) attempting to get them to come and repair the damage It took a letter to the Better Business Bureau. Within three or four days of my writing the letter they came out to the house and repaired the roof but not the inside garage ceiling. Brian, who owns Terks Roofing said that if I would write to the Better Business Bureau and report that I was happy with the roof repair he would fix and replace the damaged garage ceiling. I agreed, and did exactly what he asked. This was in September. But by December, after my inquiring once a month asking when the repair would be done, I was given a whole series of what you could call just plain BS. Brian also said he was afraid of me because "threatened him" with loud yelling. I was 82 at the time and am no threat to anyone. I finally gave up. I used an excellent local repairman living in Fairway Springs who has done work for me in the past. He did the garage ceiling for $200. I wrote a new complaint to the Better Business Bureau and have asked if possible to have Terks roofing reimburse me. I imagine this will probably never happen (It DIDN’T) but I have the satisfaction of warning folks do not ever use this company. Also, after the job was completed 5 years ago, my lawn guy suffered two flats on his lawn tractor due to nails left on the ground carelessly. Terks was called and came back and using magnets they picked up over 2 pounds of nails. As far as ever using Terk’s Roofing, DON’T! They are bad news. Brian and Terks Roofing are to to be trusted.
Feb 19, 2018 · Charles SalzmannHad them come out to do a roof mitigation for insurance purposes in early November. Was told that they would email the mitigation to my insurance agent. Started new insurance on Dec 3rd. It is now Jan 8th.Got a bill yesterday from the insurance company for $778.00 higher over the original quote because I didn't have a roof mitigation. Went to Terks roofing to get the mitigation and they had no record of it. Had to show them a picture of the roof joint that the inspector wrote on and took a picture of. Then the inspector said "I have the pictures on my phone". They proceeded to fill out the paper work and he then stated it would be $75.00. I asked why I wasn't told that when I went there to first asked to set a time to get this done. Next thing I know I'm told he won't sign the mitigation and was asked to leave because I had an attitude. I was unhappy when I went in there but was not yelling or even talking with a mean tone. Then the owner started yelling at me. All I said was why don't they tell people the cost when then set up the appointment. Because of their incompetence I now have to get someone else to get this done.
