Choosing a roofing contractor in Ohio is a critical decision for any homeowner. The state's weather, with its severe winters, heavy snowfall, and unpredictable storms, places a significant burden on residential roofs. A quality roofing system is not just about aesthetics; it's a vital component of a home's structural integrity and a primary defense against the elements. When searching for a professional to handle such an important task, it is essential to have all the available information. This article aims to provide an overview of Mack Roofing & Remodeling, a company located in Newton Falls, Ohio, to help local residents make an informed choice for their roofing and remodeling needs.
The home improvement industry is built on trust and reliability. Homeowners in Ohio need to know that the company they hire will deliver on its promises, especially when it comes to a major investment like a new roof or a significant repair. This requires not only a clear understanding of the services offered but also an honest assessment of the company's track record. A contractor's reputation is often the most valuable asset they possess, and it is something that is earned through consistent, high-quality work and a commitment to customer satisfaction. When considering a local business like Mack Roofing & Remodeling, it's important to weigh all the available information, including both the services they provide and the feedback from past clients.
For residents in the greater Newton Falls area, Mack Roofing & Remodeling's local presence can be a key factor. A nearby contractor is often better equipped to respond to emergencies and understands the specific challenges that local homes face. Their proximity allows for easier communication and a more hands-on approach to projects. While their specialization is in roofing and remodeling, the reputation of any business is a reflection of its overall operational ethics and commitment to service. In a state like Ohio, where a home’s exterior is constantly challenged by the weather, finding a reliable contractor is a top priority for protecting one's investment. This detailed look into Mack Roofing & Remodeling is intended to serve as a resource for those in the community who are in the process of making that important decision.

Based on the company name, Mack Roofing & Remodeling appears to offer a range of services that cater to both the exterior and interior of a home. A business with "Roofing" and "Remodeling" in its name suggests a dual specialization, providing a wide array of options for local residents. For homeowners in Ohio who may need more than just a roof repair, this could be a convenient option.
Services that are likely offered by Mack Roofing & Remodeling include:
- Roofing Installation and Replacement: This would involve the complete installation of new roofing systems, whether for a new construction project or a full replacement of an old, failing roof.
- Roof Repair: Addressing issues like leaks, missing shingles, and storm damage is a core service for any roofing contractor. This is particularly important in Ohio, where weather-related damage is a common concern.
- Remodeling Services: The company's name suggests they also provide general home remodeling. This could encompass a wide range of interior projects, such as kitchen or bathroom renovations, basement finishing, or other structural and cosmetic updates.
- General Contracting: A company offering both roofing and remodeling may also serve as a general contractor, managing various aspects of a larger home improvement project, from planning to completion.
While the company's name and location provide a basic understanding of their offerings, a deeper look at their features and highlights is essential for a complete picture. Based on provided public data, there are significant concerns that prospective clients should be aware of. The reviews from real customers raise important issues about the quality of workmanship and the company's responsiveness, particularly regarding warranty work and communication.
Key considerations for potential clients:
- Poor Communication and Lack of Follow-Through: Customer reviews highlight a pattern of poor communication and inaction on promises to fix issues. A customer mentions "tired reasons not to come out" and being "ghosted" when it comes to warranty work, suggesting a significant problem with post-project support.
- Quality of Workmanship Concerns: A review explicitly states that a repaired porch roof "leaks like a sieve" and that the gutters also leak. This is a major red flag regarding the quality of the work performed, which is a primary concern for any roofing project.
- Issues with Warranty Coverage: A customer was left with a "useless warranty" after the company failed to correct a leaking roof. This suggests that the company may not honor its warranties, which is a critical part of a contractor's agreement with a client.
- Potential Need for Legal Action: The reviews indicate that a customer was forced to seek legal action to try to recoup their money and resolve the situation. This is a severe step that points to a serious breakdown in the client-contractor relationship.
- Financial and Service Discrepancies: The review from Austintown suggests a pattern where the company is responsive when there is money to be made but becomes unresponsive when it comes to no-cost warranty work.
For those in the Ohio region needing to contact Mack Roofing & Remodeling, here is the provided information.

Based on the available public data, Mack Roofing & Remodeling may not be the most suitable choice for local residents in Ohio seeking a reliable and reputable contractor. The provided customer reviews raise serious concerns regarding the quality of workmanship, the company's responsiveness, and its willingness to honor warranties. For homeowners, especially those in a region with challenging weather, entrusting a major project like a roof repair to a contractor requires a high degree of confidence. The reviews suggest a lack of that confidence, pointing to potential issues that could lead to financial loss and ongoing problems with a home. Therefore, locals are strongly advised to exercise caution and thoroughly research any contractor, including checking with the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau, before entering into a contract. It is always wise to seek multiple estimates and to choose a contractor with a verifiable history of positive outcomes and a clear commitment to customer satisfaction and warranty support.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update. Jordan still giving the same tired reasons not to come out since last year. Or saids im tring to get out this week. On August 1 I will file with the court to try and get my money back. I've bent over backwards to work with Jordan. I gave Jordan until then to fix this. Here is my roof since last year. Still leaks everytime it rains.
Jul 25, 2025 · Thomas UssI hire Jordan and crew to repair a porch roof. Seven thousand dollars later I have a porch roof that leaks like a sieve, gutters that leak, and a useless warranty. Jordan said he will correct the situation, but communications have been poor on his end and inaction on the promises form Jordan to correct it. I've tried my best to work with Jordan and his father who is also part of his crew. Unfortunately, I am left to seek legal action to try recoup my money and remedy this situation. It appears they come when you have money, but when it comes to warranty work there's no money to be made there so Jordan and crew ghost you. I'll update my review as the situation unfolds. My advice is to stay away from Jordan and crew and seek repair work elsewhere from a contractor who is reputable. Austintown.

Nov 24, 2024 · Quintina WitherowReally deserves 1 and half stars. Hired them to do a shingle overlay and install new gutters. The roof was done quickly and looks pretty good but I do have questions about issues with the vent cap. Problem is that after 7 months still have no new gutters. Have called and been told would be done and still nothing. Finally came to a point several weeks ago when owner(Troy) said he would do in gutter install himself. He sent me a text the night before saying because of rain he couldn't do it the next day but he had the supplies on hand and would definitely have done the following week. That was 3 weeks ago and nothing. Stay away from this roofer because they don't keep their word.
