Talco Construction Introduce
For homeowners in Central Florida, a sturdy and well-maintained roof is not just an essential component of a house; it's a critical shield against the region's intense climate. With high humidity, a scorching sun, and the annual threat of severe weather, finding a roofing contractor you can trust is a top priority. In Winter Garden and the surrounding communities, residents have several options, and one that often comes up in conversation is Talco Construction. As a local business, Talco Construction has been part of the Central Florida landscape, serving clients with various roofing and construction needs. This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of the company, based on available public information and customer feedback, to help local users make an informed decision when evaluating their options. We will cover their services, location, and key aspects of their business as reflected in the experiences of their customers.
The importance of a reliable roofing contractor in Florida cannot be overstated. The unique environmental factors—from the corrosive effects of salt air in coastal regions to the wind and rain of hurricane season—demand a specific set of skills and a deep understanding of local building codes and materials. A local company like Talco Construction has the advantage of being intimately familiar with these regional challenges. They understand the types of roofing systems that perform best in this climate and are knowledgeable about the processes required to ensure a project meets all local regulations. This local expertise is a significant factor for any homeowner seeking to protect their property for the long term.
Customer experiences with contractors are often a mix of positive and negative, and this is a reality of any service industry. When evaluating a business, it's helpful to consider a range of feedback to get a complete picture. One detailed review from a customer highlights both the positive and negative aspects of their experience with Talco Construction. Initially, the customer was satisfied with the appearance of the new roof installed in 2019, noting that the salesperson was attentive during the initial phase. However, the review also points to challenges with communication and follow-up after the work had been committed, as well as a lack of responsiveness to a later issue with dry rot wood. This aspect of the review brings up a crucial question for any potential customer: "Will they be there for you if a problem arises?" This is a key point for any homeowner to consider, as a contractor's post-installation support can be just as important as the initial work.
Conversely, other customers have had very positive experiences. One review praises specific individuals, Joe Cassidy and Brian Lancaster, for their "unbelievable service with unbelievable communication." This customer highlights the reliability and honesty of the team, stating they are "definitely the best and worth the money." Another review echoes this sentiment, mentioning the amount of "stress and time Joe and his crew have saved me." These reviews point to a high level of customer satisfaction when projects are managed effectively and with a strong focus on communication. This contrast in feedback suggests that a customer's experience may be highly dependent on the specific team members they interact with and the nature of the project. It underscores the importance of clear communication and setting expectations from the start.
The reviews collectively paint a picture of a company with dedicated and highly-regarded individuals, but with some potential for inconsistencies in service and follow-up. This is an important detail for local customers to consider. The positive feedback strongly emphasizes the value of the service provided, noting that while they may not be the cheapest option, the quality and communication make them "more than worth the time investment and money." This "you get what you pay for" perspective is a common theme in the construction industry and is a key factor for homeowners weighing their options. The mixed reviews serve as a useful tool for future customers, encouraging them to ask questions about project management, follow-up procedures, and post-installation support before committing to a project.

Talco Construction Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I contracted with Talco Construction to do my roof in Sep 2019. While initially the salesperson was attentive, once I committed to the work, her attentiveness declined. I had to follow up on the permit and scheduling, and have them come back out for additional clean up of debris. After the roof was done, I had to contact her to adjust the bill for the 2 pieces of plywood she had promised at no charge. I didn't bother with writing a review at that time since I was happy with the appearance of the roof.Fast forward 4 years (2023) and I noticed some fascia board was falling off the side of the house. We found dry rot wood underneath. I reached out to Talco asking that someone come take a look. I contacted them first by email with pictures, and then 5 times by phone between June to July 2023. There was no response to the email but by phone the very nice admin told me she delivered the message and was told someone would call me back to schedule a visit. No one ever returned my call.Unsure how water was getting to the wood underneath the fascia or if there was a more serious problem, I contacted my homeowners insurance. That adjuster came to inspect the damage and roof. The adjuster deemed the dry rot wood cause to be shoddy workmanship; perhaps not replacing wood that should have been replaced during the roof installation. There was no current leak. This is when the 5th call was made to Talco to deliver the adjuster's findings and again ask that someone come out. I never heard from Talco.Fortunately for me, the adjuster also found hail damage from the May 2023 hailstorm and authorized a new roof. The dry rot wood was limited to 3 feet of wood and was repaired with the installation of the new roof in August 2023.I also question the quality of the shingles installed by Talco in 2019 that could be damaged by hail that wasn't severe enough to ping our car parked in the driveway during the hailstorm.Often companies put their best foot forward when they want your business then drop the ball afterwards. As a previous customer, I deserved a return call from Talco but they completely ignored me. I'm sharing this experience as an alert for future customers to consider as they evaluate doing business with Talco Construction. Will they be there for you if a problem arises?
Sep 15, 2023 · BlueBruen BruenUnbelievable service with unbelievable communication. If other contractors in this area were half as reliable and as honest as Joe Cassidy and Brian Lancaster, they might give them a run for the money. However, until they have a professional epiphany and figure out how to run their business instead of lifting and tricking out their company vehicles, Joe and Brian are more than worth the time investment and money. Speaking of money, you get what you pay for. Not the cheapest (but pretty darn close), but definitely the best and worth the money.Cannot convey the amount of stress and time Joe and his crew have saved me.
Aug 14, 2019 · Douglas SmithTalco Construction recently installed our new roof and we couldn’t be happier. Our experience working with their salesman Ron was a pleasurable one. Not only a great guy but very knowledgeable. Everything was completed ahead of expected schedule and quality of work is superb! We love our new roof!
Oct 30, 2019 · Craig CiceroWe had a great experience with Talco Construction. Our Sales and Marketing Manager, Brian, was well knowledgeable, willingness to work alongside our insurance agent, and was quick to respond to our concerns. The Talco team worked well together to get our roof completed in a timely manner. We are extremely happy with the results.
Feb 04, 2020 · Angela HyattTalco did an outstanding job. Using a skilled crew, they worked diligently and gave us a beautiful end product. We are more than pleased. We did not realize our roof needed a lot of wood repair due to failed roof vent installation back in 2005. We are now the envy of the neighborhood as our roof out shines the others. The quality of the shingle is visibly superior. We would highly recommend this roofer.
