Shamrock Roofing and Construction Introduce
For homeowners in Kansas, a durable and reliable roof is the primary defense against the state’s notoriously severe and unpredictable weather. From powerful hailstorms and high winds to torrential rains, the local climate demands a roofing solution that is not only robust but also installed by a contractor who is both skilled and dependable. When a roof is damaged or in need of replacement, local residents seek a partner they can trust. Shamrock Roofing and Construction, with a presence in Overland Park, has been a part of the local contracting scene. This article aims to provide a factual and comprehensive overview of Shamrock Roofing and Construction, drawing from publicly available information, including both positive and negative customer reviews. This is not a promotional piece but rather an informative resource to help local users learn more about the company and its public-facing reputation. By presenting a balanced view, homeowners can make a more informed decision when choosing a contractor for one of their most significant home improvement projects.
The reputation of a business is often a mosaic of various customer experiences, and the reviews for Shamrock Roofing and Construction reflect a wide range of outcomes. One customer shared a very positive experience, praising their project manager, Will Little, as a "consummate professional" and an "excellent communicator" who was "extremely thorough." The reviewer noted that Will made the complex roof replacement process "very easy to understand," was knowledgeable about insurance claims, and built enough trust that the customer felt comfortable leaving the project in his hands while out of town. The result was a new roof and gutters that left them "completely satisfied." This review highlights a seamless and professional process, from initial communication to final product. However, another review provides a starkly different perspective. This customer gave a "zero stars" rating, describing the company as "a disaster from start to finish." They cited constant failures to show up on time with no communication, sloppy and rushed work, and a project that was left unfinished. The reviewer detailed serious issues including a heavy leak in the fireplace area, water damage, a damaged HVAC exhaust pipe, a cracked interior ceiling, and botched metal work. The review also stated that the company "just left" without finishing the job, performing a final walkthrough, or cleaning up, leading the customer to recommend hiring "literally anyone else." This divergence in customer experiences underscores the importance of thorough vetting and the potential for varied outcomes when working with this company.
Shamrock Roofing and Construction is located at 7899 Frontage Rd, Overland Park, KS 66204, USA. This central location within a major Kansas suburb provides the company with a strategic base from which to serve the Kansas City metropolitan area. For local residents, a physical office in a familiar area can offer a sense of accessibility and accountability that can be reassuring when undertaking a major home improvement project. It suggests that the company is a part of the community and is not a fly-by-night operation. However, as the reviews indicate, a local address does not automatically guarantee a consistent level of service or customer satisfaction. While some customers have reported excellent communication and project management, others have experienced a significant lack of follow-through, even with the company's local presence. This information is crucial for locals to consider, as they must weigh the convenience of a nearby contractor against the potential for issues with project execution and customer service. The ease of access to a local business should be one factor among many, including a company's full reputation, not just its location.
Based on publicly available data, Shamrock Roofing and Construction offers a variety of services typical of a full-service roofing contractor. These services are designed to address the needs of homeowners and property managers throughout the region, from minor repairs to full-scale replacements. A company’s ability to handle a wide range of services is often a key selling point, as it allows customers to rely on a single contractor for multiple needs. However, the quality and professionalism with which these services are executed are of paramount importance. While some reviews praise the quality of the new roof and gutters, others describe unacceptable workmanship and unfinished projects. This disparity suggests that the services offered may not always be delivered with a consistent level of quality. It is essential for potential customers to get a clear and detailed contract that outlines every step of the project, from materials to cleanup, to ensure there are no misunderstandings or unexpected issues. The services listed below represent a standard offering for a contractor in this industry, but the customer reviews provide the most valuable insight into how these services are actually delivered on a day-to-day basis.
Services Offered (Based on standard industry practices and public data):
- Residential Roof Replacement: Installation of new roofing systems, including both shingle roofs and other materials, for single-family homes.
- Roof Repair and Inspections: Providing services to diagnose and fix roof damage, from minor leaks to more significant issues, and offering inspections to assess a roof's overall condition.
- Gutter Services: Installation and replacement of gutters to ensure proper water drainage and protect a home's foundation from damage.
- Storm Damage Restoration: Expertise in assessing and repairing damage caused by hailstorms and high winds, a common occurrence in Kansas, and assisting with the insurance claims process.
- Siding and Other Exterior Services: In addition to roofing and gutters, the company may offer other exterior services to provide a more comprehensive solution for homeowners.
The highlights and features of a company are often what they use to build their brand, but for Shamrock Roofing and Construction, the reviews paint a complex and contradictory picture. On one hand, a key highlight is the praise for specific project managers, such as Will Little, who are described as excellent communicators and professionals. The positive experiences often mention the company's ability to handle the insurance claims process effectively, which is a major stress reliever for homeowners. This suggests that when a project goes well, it can be a very positive and smooth experience. On the other hand, the negative reviews highlight major issues that are significant red flags for any potential customer. The most serious highlights from these reviews are the reported "sloppy and rushed" workmanship, the failure to complete the job as per the contract, and a lack of accountability for property damage. The review mentioning an interior leak and cracked ceiling after the work was done is a particularly serious concern. Another issue highlighted is the lack of communication from the company, which contradicts the positive feedback and suggests a lack of consistency in their client management. These contrasting highlights are essential for locals to consider, as they must decide whether the potential for a positive experience outweighs the risk of a negative one.
Features / Highlights (Based on customer reviews and public data):
- Strong Project Management (in some cases): Positive reviews praise specific project managers for their clear communication, professionalism, and expertise in navigating the insurance claims process.
- Quality Craftsmanship (in some cases): Some customers were "completely satisfied" with the final result of their new roof and gutters, indicating a successful and high-quality installation.
- Significant Concerns with Workmanship: Negative reviews describe "sloppy and rushed" work, with parts of the old roof left behind and a failure to properly execute the terms of the contract.
- Lack of Communication and Follow-Through: A major point of contention is the reported failure of the company to show up on time, communicate delays, or return to finish the job and address post-project issues.
- Property Damage and Lack of Accountability: Reviews highlight serious issues such as interior leaks, cracked ceilings, and damage to other home components during the installation, with no follow-up from the company.

Shamrock Roofing and Construction Reviews
I am extremely happy with our experience with Shamrock Roofing. We had both our roof and gutters replaced. Our project manager was Will Little. He is a consummate professional, an excellent communicator, and extremely thorough. Initially, he explained the roof replacement process in a way that was very easy to understand. He touched base with us often, and answered all of our questions in a very complete manner. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about the insurance claims process. We happened to be going out-of-town on the day the roof was installed, and I had full trust in the project being done right. We our completely satisfied with our new roof and gutters. Thank you, Will!
Jun 23, 2025 · Sally DuenasIf I could give zero stars, I would. This company was a disaster from start to finish. They constantly failed to show up on time, with no communication or explanation. When they did show up, the work was sloppy and rushed. They left parts of the old roof still attached to my home — completely unacceptable for a professional roofing job. Then came the real nightmare: my fireplace area started leaking heavily inside the house after they worked on the roof. Water damage is now what we are looking at.To make things worse, they damaged the HVAC exhaust pipe for the second floor and cracked the interior ceiling during installation. They also botched the metal accent work by trying to install it over the old shingles, instead of properly replacing the roofing first like they were supposed to in there contract. And then — they just left. Didn’t finish the job. Didn’t follow up. No cleanup. No final walkthrough. Nothing. This company is the definition of unprofessional and careless. Do yourself a favor and hire literally anyone else.
Jul 01, 2025 · Rudy BargerI really spoke highly of this company! Though after working with them and using them as a customer my song has definitely changed. Shamrock loves to fire contractors before paying them. Then saying they don’t owe the contractor. They say paid training and that is not true. They will leave customers without gutters, then charge insurance for a job that wasn’t done. Even after flooding her house. Please please please do not use this company. To work for or hire to do a job.
Jun 13, 2025 · brittany trauschGabe Morris did an excellent job on my roof. He was professional, on time, and made the process simple. He handled everything and kept me informed the whole way. Gabe is honest, dependable, and someone I trust. Highly recommend.
Jun 21, 2025 · Matthew SherwoodShamrock Roofing’s Nick Easley made it easy! Truly elated! We could not be happier with the service we received and the workmanship. Nick Easley was our Project Manager and we really couldn’t compliment him enough for going above and beyond to provide us with world-class service. We really struggled with our insurance company throughout this process. We struggled with the insurance company calling back after we filed the hail damage claim. Then the insurance company only wanted to cover half of the roof replacement. At first the insurance adjuster told us only the back was going to be covered and then later said only the front would be covered. Nick was so patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. He came out multiple times during the project, aligned his schedule with the insurance company’s contracted inspector (whom Nick was familiar with) and even joined me on a call with the adjuster. The way I see it, Nick saved us easily $5,000 out of pocket due to his experience and diligence.Once we got alignment with Insurance, Nick Easley even arranged his schedule so one of his visits would overlap with the visit from our gutter cover rep so they could coordinate work. The roof replacement was scheduled quickly to accommodate our tight depreciation deadline. Nick provided great communication through out the project- we knew what to expect with materials being dropped off, what we would do if the blizzard that week impacted the schedule, and he gave me a backup contact with Shamrock because he thought he would be inaccessibile for a period of time. The entire project happened when expected and the actual roof replacement only took one day. The crew that came out was very polite , efficient, and the finished roof looks amazing. The crew did a very nice job of cleaning up after the work and they paid extra attention to looking for rogue nails in our driveway.During and following the roof replacement, Nick came out to oversee the project and also looked for rogue nails in the driveway (I told him it was a concern for us). During Nick’s final inspection we noticed a small piece of wood trim that was knocked off during the roof replacement. Nick had the crew supervisor return the very next day to replace it and paint it.We honestly have nothing but positives to say about Shamrock Roofing and their Project Manager, Nick Easley. I would be happy to recommend them to anybody that needs work done.
